Our wedding cake turned out absolutely STUNNING and delicious. We received so many compliments on our cake because it was so good. It was definitely the best cake I've ever had. It was so fresh and turned out absolutely beautiful. They made the experience of designing our cake so easy and I trusted them throughout the whole process. Such a timeless design and the size was absolutely perfect. They exceeded our expectations and we will be going back for other goodies and may make it a tradition to order a cake for our wedding anniversaries. Highly recommend!!

I have been coming to Deerfields bakery since I moved to Buffalo Grove 3 years ago. I consider myself a baker and have very high standards for baked goods. I am honestly surprised and disappointed by how poor most “bakeries” are. This is NOT the case for Deerfields, it truly is a gem. I have ordered or picked up the following from them: donuts, pastries, coffee cakes, custom cookies, Designer singles, gelato and cake. Everything has been delicious. I especially enjoyed a Triple Chocolate Cake I ordered recently. The flourless chocolate cake was not dry, but moist and it was very generously filled with a luscious chocolate mouse. The ambiance of Deerfields is also very pleasant. I have on multiple occasions gotten breakfast at their cafe and coffees. It’s a great spot to bring your kid for a “treat” while mom and dad can enjoy some cappuccinos. I truly can not recommend this bakery enough. I will be a lifetime customer.

Popped in during a business trip to grab a birthday cake for a client, and the service could not have been better. In an out in under 5 minutes with a delicious, gorgeous cake in hand. Plus I got some wonderful pastries and muffins to boot! The client was thrilled. “They even spelled my name right!”The donuts looked incredible, so I’ll be coming back next time my work travels bring me to Lincolnshire!

I placed an online order for an Atomic Cake to be picked u at this location. The location itself and the service were phenomenal.The Atomic Cake was "underwhelming" at best. The cake itself(all 3 layers) were dry, and the filling between layers was so thin you hardly noticed it was there. Buttercream very thick and dense. So we were highly disappointed with our birthday cake. I would not hesitate to go there for coffee and other goodies in the future.

What's not to like about this place? The baked goods are yummy, made with love, look awesome and are really delicious. They have a counter where you can order breakfast sandwiches, eggs, omelets, skillets, etc. and are also very good. They have fresh baked doughnuts and pastries everyday. I haven't tried their gelato, but based on all their other food, I would only surmise that it is good as well. Do you need cakes for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries or other lifecycle events? Deerfields is always the place to go. They do a phenomenal job and everything tastes awesome. You know what's not good? Their ability to ring you up. It doesn't matter who is behind the register as they are insanely slow. If there is a line of 4 or more people, open the second register and put someone else in charge of coffee related drinks. It's not rocket science. Somehow other coffee places can ring you up and make the coffee drinks with some speed, but not Deerfields. I was there on Sunday and ordered eggs with toast and bacon for dine in. I then got in line and was third in line and thought that I would be handed my eggs while standing in line. It's not hard. Type in the order, take payment. Every other facet of of this business is done well with the exception of taking payment. So. Slow. I'd give this place 5 stars, but this isn't a new issue. This has been going on for years. Figure it out already. Geez.

We were in the area and dropped by this well known bakery. I've never stepped foot in here as it's a bit out of the way, but it's well known to me because quite a few Yelp pals have been here over the years. I liked everything I saw though admittedly the wife only picked up a loaf of their plain challah bread on this inaugural visit. Their two story business is quite large with cozy dining areas on both the first floor and second floor (no retail upstairs, just dining). Their product displays are neat, colorful, and enticing. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They offer pretty good sized breakfast and lunch menus. Quite enticing also is that they sell Intelligentsia coffee and at $3.30 for 20 oz, that's a good deal for top quality coffee. Gelato is 50% off every Friday. Bread and coffee cakes are 25% off every Tuesday. 10% off on your next visit after doing a Yelp review, presumably a good one lol. Granted, we have't tried much here yet, but I'm going with 5 stars and a guaranteed 10% off my next visit, hehe.
