If you feel like having good indian food then Rivaaj's saturday lunch buffet is worth a try. Tons of variety of veg and nonveg and everything is good. I am a good home cook and normally i dont like indian food at restaurants but for a change I loved the variety and taste of food available in buffet.

We visited for the dosa buffet on a Wed and the dosas were amazingly tasty and also the regular food items. Service was excellent and Bhupathi provided good suggestions to try out the various dosas! A must try! A tip for dosa buffets - don't eat too much of the other buffet items for dosa buffet - keep your stomach half empty so you can really savor and enjoy the dosas. My favorites were gongura dosa (bit spicy but had a great combo with the tomato chutney); ghee dosa; andhara spicy masala dosa and nutella dosa!!Vegetarian options: A lot of veg options

We tried this place for the first time on a Sunday night for dinner and it wasn't a good experience. The ambiance was good but the quality of food was mediocre at best. What makes it even bad is the service.Of everything we ordered the first to arrive at the table were the naans and poori without any and sabji or curries. The biryanis were not good either. Will not recommend this place unless there are no other options available.

Came here to say for dosa night with my family. Had to wait in queue for nearly half an hour but was likely crowded because it was Valentine’s Day. Dosa was very good and staff kept checking in on us. Dosa took some time to come out but was delicious and small buffet included had good variety.

Food is good and quantity per entree is decent. The chili paneer is tasty and so is chicken tikka masala.

Always such excellent options at the Sunday buffets they have! Chicken biryani, paneer butter masala, chicken kadai, mixed veggie pakora. Those were just some of the offerings from today's buffet (3/10). The offerings change EVERY Sunday so theres always something fresh and delicious to try! For $19.99 (plus tax) it is worth it to come to Rivaj! That and their regular menu offerings are awesome so please support this local restaurant in the Buffalo Grove

Dosa night every Wednesday, unlimited 18 varieties of dosa (very small size), 1 veg and non veg appetizer, 1 veg and non veg curry with rice and biryani, chaat, 1 dessert, no bread though. $15.99 for adults and $8.99 for kids excluding taxes. Ala carte dishes are good (some are not).

Stale biryani - it smelt very bad when we opened it (delivered by Uber eats) and very sure it was left over from last night

The staff were friendly. The manager was very welcoming. The food in buffet trays was not very warm but place was busy. There was a good selection of items in the buffet, but food didn't seem fresh, not a lot, spiciness, aroma or rich flavor. The buffet items were a bit bland tasting, except for the goat curry, which was tasty but had a lot of bones. There was no naan or tandoori chicken, that we were expecting.

DECENT BUFFET!!I went to this place in a group of 10 ladies. We had a reservation for a buffet lunch. It was nice to have the option of both veg and non-vegetarian foods for an Indian lunch. They had a welcome Rooha Afza drink which no one was interested in. They had only 1 curry (palak paneer) and dal (makhani) for entree (in veg option). They had mushroom and paneer biryani which had whole spices that personally annoyed me while eating. The starter chole samosa chaat was good and mildly spiced. I couldn’t have daal makhani as it was very hot for my palate. The palak paneer tasted authentic and paired well with naan. The waitress Ms. Pallavi was very friendly and made sure we were doing well. She also brought Gralic naan to our table which was not at the buffet table. Unfortunately, I was almost done with my lunch and couldn’t taste it. They should have brought it at the beginning of our lunch. We were charged around $25 per person which was way higher than the usual price of buffet lunch. They should have either informed us about the additional price for reservations or could have at least taken our opinion on deciding the menu. Many of us wanted veg noodles/fried rice/ Manchurian etc instead of pasta noodles that was offered.

This was an amazingly tasty experience. The customer service, atmosphere and food were all fantastic. Very welcoming and went above and beyond to assist our table in selecting a meal that was satisfying and illuminated the Indian Cuisine experience for first timers.
