Food was delicious! The waitress wasn't! My friend asked to recommend a drink, and the waitress shrugged her shoulders and said some drink with lemonade, which, then, my friend said, I don't like lemonade. So the waitress rolled her eyes, and said a hurricane. I asked for more water and she totally forgot. I had to ask another waitress for water. My friends and I finished our food and had dessert. Then we waited and waited for our check. Turns out she had to serve the bar also. She never apologized for being busy. Disappointing.

Wow, if you want ribs look no further. Fall of the bone tender, and sooo tasty. Ordered a full rack, and zero disappointment. Doggy bagged, and in the fridge. Top job. ?

Happy hour 3-6pm Tuesday - Thursday

Meeting friends before they move out of state! A little of a wait for our food! The food was cold when we received it! My friend did not eat hers and took it home. For the price we should expect hot food!

Chuck's has quite a few Cajun inspired dishes on the menu. My friend enjoyed her chicken fried steak, I think it was. It looked very good. The cheese curds were delicious! My baked potato was good and I also enjoyed my coleslaw. I think Chuck's has good food. I've been there more than a few times.

My brother and I go on the regular. We also go on Sundays for football. The food is always great, the staff is always great, and there are plenty of tvs so you can watch the game from almost any angle.

Had been wanting to get back after COVID and finally found opportunity. Front patio is perfect and LOVE the brunch! Pumpkin donuts and Cajun eggs Benedict along with fun cocktails! My favorite part was our waitress Shena. When we couldn't get the wifi to get Daniel Tiger on to entertain my 2.5 yo so we could eat our meal in peace- she tried to help trouble shoot and when it didn't work LET US USE HER OWN CELL AND LOGGED US INTO HER ACCOUNT TO ACCESS. She stated she knows how it is she has 3 kids of her own and she wanted me to enjoy my birthday brunch. If that isn't above and voting service I don't know what is!!

Went with a group of 8 for dinner. Service was great! Food came out super fast and everything was delicious. Had some out of town guests and they were super impressed. We all agreed this was a good pick for dinner!

I can't get over the increasing number of Cajun and Creole-inspired restaurants that have sprung up all over the Chicago area in the last few years. Add Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe to the list. Located at 6501 West 79th Street in Burbank, at Natchez, two blocks west of Narragansett, it specializes in Cajun staples such as seafood gumbo, corn chowder, southern fried shrimp, BBQ shrimp, cornbread, po' boy sandwiches, slow cooked barbecue with Mexican, Cajun and Southern flavors, baby back ribs, pulled pork, brisket, smoked chicken, spicy green beans, Andouille sausage, garlic smoked red potatoes with sausage gravy, banana bread pudding and peach cobbler. That's a mouthful. Open from 11 to 11 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11 to midnight on Friday, 8 to midnight on Saturday and 8 to 11 on Sunday, Chuckie's offers something for everybody's taste. He also has a location at 8025 South Cass Avenue in Darien. Lunch is a handful. My wife and I started with bowls of seafood gumbo and corn chowder. I couldn't resist a plate of Cajun BBQ shrimp. And we shared two cornbread salmon cakes filled with cornbread, shrimp, salmon, green onions, red peppers and roasted poblano honey cream sauce. For an entree, my wife chose Southern fried shrimp with French fries, coleslaw, a cornbread muffin and cocktail sauce. I opted for a BBQ combo, a half slab of baby back ribs and a quarter smoked chicken with BBQ sauce. For dessert, we shared portions of banana bread pudding and peach cobbler.

We were seated quickly. We booked through open table and informed it there was a birthday in our party. No acknowledgment of it through out the meal. Our server was less then attentive, my spouses and sons drink went with out being refilled. The food was less then impressive, bland, serving size small. It seemed like we were interested in any appetizers or alcohol we didn't get great service. But the food really cemented it wasn't good. In the past the restaurant would be busy on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty.

Everyone I take to Chuck's enjoys it. Usually we enjoy the Voodoo Lounge. Only deductions this visit was because of the traffic noise on 79th. We should have eaten inside but that was my bad choice.
