I first visited Ooh wee, it was about a month ago in Chicago off at 83rd. The food was amazing and the service was great. After speaking with one of the employees I found out that there was another ooh wee by my house. Which is this one. The first time My daughter purchased shrimp rice with gravy. We were disappointed the gravy had a weird flavor with a lemon taste (yes 2 separate taste). And the portion size was half the size we got off 83rd. You could literally see the bottom of the container soon as you open it even though the shrimp was on top of the rice and gravy. I love ooh wee it is so much I thought it might have been a bad daydifferent cook or something. So we went back. I was really craving there Peach cobbler so I went and purchased 2 for my daughter and I. As soon as I open both containers, you can smell that it had been burnt. Then when you start to move the peaches , because there was a lot of peaches , you can see the burnt crust. At seven dollars a bowl and 20+ for the shrimp and rice I have wasted forty dollars. Will not be back at least to this location. Another thing I waited 40mins for 2 burnt bowls of peach cobbler with only two other customers in store. They had other customers come in and out for pick up but why wait so long for something thats pre cooked and should be portioned out??? Simple pick up 2 containers bag hand to customer and on to the next... But not at this ooh wee, be prepared for a 40-50min wait for whatever you get...

I ordered the shrimp and grits off of their great Groupon deals that they’ve been offering it was a little bland, and as you can see it was a lot of grease in it. I kept trying to eat it and eat it and just ignore it but I was just way too greasy. You can see the grease on top of the grits. Don’t think I’ll finish this dish. I’ll be in clogged up my arteries.

We were excited trying this place. Line was long, foods take forever (they don’t call your order number) make sure to check back on your own. Food temperature Cold, atmosphere very freezing, no restroom when you dine in. Overall 3 stars but we will try the other locations

The food was horrible almost worse than the customer service . It’s like they are annoyed that I ask questions no smile no greeting nothing …. Like it was so awkward and not a pleasant experience as a first time out of town customer ! On top of that the pork pot roast was horrible it taste burnt and the greens taste burnt as well the macaroni was delicious so that’s all I got to eat . It’s sad because I’ve called several times to try to rectify this but I never get an answer . They need to do better. For $24 it’s not worth it at all and the sweet tea taste like koolaid ? very disheartening.

Place was completely horrible. I walked in to place an order and the customer service was horrific. The cashier looked at me, didn’t say a single word then continued to look down at her phone as if I wasn’t there. There was one other customer in the restaurant. When I asked if I can order, I received the worst attitude I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant. She looked at me and got upset because i wanted to order. I asked a simple question about the menu and got treated as if I should’ve knew the answers already. Why work there if you’re going to make the owner lose customers? I ordered and the food was pretty good but unfortunately I’ll never come back due to the lack of customer service. I was so upset because the place has good potential but the customer service is making customers never come back. As a restaurant owner myself, I just wish the owner will acknowledge this review and work on training the cashiers or fire the staff and hire people that want to be there. I will NEVER come back and I’ve never felt this disrespected at an establishment where I’m spending my money to support a business. There’s so many other restaurants like this so I’ll just take my money elsewhere since it’s a problem to get decent customer service at this place. I’d rather starve to death then eat at this place again.

I've been wanting to try this place for some time now I finally go on this past Saturday my experience wasn't great at all after eating not even close to half of my food I became sick to my stomach the sweet potatoes was missing the potatoes all I could taste was sugar my dressing was salty and looked old by the end of the night I was awakened by bad stomach cramps that had me in the bathroom on the toilet till 3 am my significant other and I both ordered food he has the same problem here it is Tuesday and I've yet to be able to eat anything we has to throw the food out it was over half I would very much like a REFUND due to my experiences I will not be eating their anymore

I ordered from Uber eats so I didn’t deal with any of the staff directly, but the food was pretty good. I had the jerk salmon with Mac and greens as sides. The macaroni was delicious. The salmon was really good too but I felt like it needed some sauce since it was a little on the dryer side. The greens were salty and nothing special in my opinion.
First time visiting the plane, my family told me all about it and man oh man it was worth it! I knew when I saw the line near outside the door, people love this place. My meal was the mac n cheese, fish, greens of course the Carmel cake, make you want to hurt someone, the food was so good, didn't have time to take pics, please visit and give them a try, you won't regret it.

Our first time going there Service was excellent. The Henny wigs was great. The grilled shrimp for my daughter was great. The greens wasn't good they taste like can greens and the oxtail wasn't good at all they taste wired. All the other side was yummy . My family and I will be back to try them out again.
