“Came here for the first time and made the hour long drive from Chicago. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and a beef shawarma in a pita. The chicken shawarma was very good and had lots of flavor. The fires were fresh and crispy. The beef, however, had no flavor at all and was super bland. Was disappointed with the beef. I’d recommend the chicken to anyone.“

“The food here is phenomenal! I would give this place ten stars. I got the butter chicken bowl, full of hummus, baba ganoush, veggies, sauces, feta etc! The bowls are a nice portion. I will ALWAYS go to this place I swear. The taste? VERY GOOD! The way they place the portions in the bowl, sets me on an actual journey when I eat. Spoon after spoon after spoon, omg, I have to slow down, damn this food is good. The taste is fresh. The taste is refreshing. The meat is seasoned just right. “I had the best experience at Abd’s diner! My son had an impromptu birthday party at my house. I went to Abd diner and asked them to have food for a 7 adults in less than 45 minutes. The response was “absolutely!” Because of their awesome portions, I had enough food for 10 people!!! Everyone in the family raved about the food and had enough to take leftovers. We love the hot dogs, pizza puffs, Italian beef and sausage, polish sausage and more.Kid-friendliness: No explicit kids menu but they have kid friendly options like chicken tenders and grilled cheese (and of course hot dogs) which my kids love.“

“This is a favorite local chain of mine that makes legit Nashville hot chicken and serves up southern sweet tea to go with it. You can save the trip to Nashville to get hot chicken and stop in here! I went through drive-thru (a bit quirky but doable), received my food (the order was correct), got to my destination (east of Manheim rd) the food was still hot. That hot dog and fries was delicious. But I can always get that at the grocery store.It's somewhat greasy, good food when you have a taste for it.Dietary restrictions: I have a fish allergy, and I've never had a reaction from any of the food. So they do a good job keeping the fish/shrimp separate.“

“I would consider this a hole in the wall Gem! I found this place on Yelp and was very glad we stopped. My husband and I ordered chili cheese dogs with fries and I asked for cheese for my fries and then we ordered a Dika Sausage to share. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The owners were there working and were very nice people. I especially like they have lent specials and vegetarian options. I love meat, but I enjoy trying different things during lent. They have a large variety of options. I hope we can return and try some of their other menu items.“

I have tried the beef which is very good and the burgers are pretty good but I always seem to fall back on the Hot Dogs. Service is great and the customers seem to be regulars there (older crowd) since this place has been around for a while.“

“I stopped for lunch while I was in the area. I had the two hot dog special. The hot dogs were very good. The toppings were all right, could have used a little more. The dog only had one small piece of tomato.The fries could have been cooked a bit longer, but they were plentiful.There are about 5 tables and one that runs along the window.The people were friendly and helpful.I will return the next time I'm in the area.Bicycling: The streets are very busy and don't seem bicycle friendly. “I love their Gyros. I just wanted to say that I think it is insane that they have no menus at their place to take home with you. That is a great way to get continued customers. “I came in tonight and was excited because I’ve been craving a jrito crunch and have been for about 3 years and my buddy Carl told all his fb friends that owner is a previous franchisee of jrs and they have the chil ito which is this same xact indgredients (yes same chili and cheese and same chips as jrito everything was phenomenal came from Thornton which is about a half hour plus drive. So so worth the drive I refused to touch anything til I got home so I could enjoy that first bite. Thank you to the owners for preserving the beautiful food of your past establishment only to bring it to your new establishment! Everything was phenomenal!!!“

“If you read any of the reviews for Al's Drive In online, people have a ton of nostalgia for this place. I find nostalgia for a restaurant can play a negative role for those who don't have the association, but that wasn't the case for me who only ate here for the first time today. The Chicago dog and super taco were solid but the combination fried rice was the hero for me. Never thought l'd find this kind of wok hei flavor from a Chicago Red Hots institution in Maywood, IL that would remind me so much of the fried rice I grew up with at my Chinese immigrant family's restaurant in Arizona. Honestly just throw in some bean sprouts and you'd have a 1:1 copy. I may not have the same nostalgia that a lot of the usuals have with Al's, but that familiar taste of home is so present in every bite of this fried rice. I'm immediately transported to teenage me devouring a large combination fried rice at my own family's restaurant after working a full day's 12hr shift in the summer and immediately passing out in my bed when I got home. I wish I had started coming here sooner.“

“When we came it was a bit busy. Once it slowed down a person who appeared to be the manager came to each empty table with a package of disinfectant wipes and cleaned each empty table and chairs. Even if they looked clean he wiped them anyway.“

Our food came quickly and our usual extra requests were met with care. When we were finishing our food which we both enjoyed, the owner who had just come out from working the kitchen to relax and asked us how everything was before sitting down. I made a point to approach and say how good the coleslaw was. The owner responded very appreciatively and explained that they try to make it with good intention. Overall, we felt like we were contributing to the livelihood of good people that took a long time to build. “Best customer service I’ve probably ever had. Decided to go on a lunch date with my 3 very young children. My 2 year old must have eaten too fast and got sick all over herself, me, and the table. One of the workers ran over to help and told me to not worry about a thing. She even helped clean up my 2 year old. The manager came over and was so incredibly sweet and extremely helpful as well. Even asked what my favorite, my kids favorite ice cream was and packed up a bunch of pints on the house! “Ok, I love this place so much. I came all the way from Denver to eat their delicious food. I got the two for $7.99 hot dog w/ fries special, the hot Italian beef sandwich and I got a Polish dog deep-fried. HOTT DAMN everything was so damn tasty. From the fries to giardiniera that fell off my Italian sandwich. The service was great, more like fun cuz they all you 2 or 3 times what you got so they can make sure they get it right. And it is cheap to eat there. It was less than $25 for all that deliciousness! Mickey's, you have my heart, thank you! I will be back.“

“Mostly the food was very good for real but I got a Gladiator burger that did not have everything on it that they said it would on there plus I asked for peppers and they neglected to put that and yet they put the top part of the tomato that has that brown circle where the stem was on it. I can't eat that and I don't want that on my $11 burger! and that was the only piece of tomato. it made me feel like they don't like me! Then the fried okra was overcooked tough and horrible.“
