Food was hot. Would have preferred BBQ sauce on my BBQ. A bun would have been cool but I guess George Foreman sandwich maker is preferred there. Service was lacking. Lady was rude as we left and muttered "whatever" under her breath. Server did not return to our table once. Only place in town to eat that's not a gas station. Overall less then pleasant experience and food Fries were the best part. Won't be back anytime soon. Bring back real barbecue! How dare this place call that barbecue. What a bland joke.

I love the barbecue here. I have driven from North Little Rock, Arkansas just to get this amazing barbecue. I have eaten here since the early 70’s, and it is just as good now as it was then. Best barbecue in the world…amazing sauce!

As a child traveling to Paris,TN my father always stopped at Shemwells,Dad from Kentucky,Mom from Paris,best thing I ever tasted,we’re talking late 60’s,to this day I only eat BBQ on toast,I’ll never forget that place,Mark Hagler.Kid-friendliness: Just a great place.
