Came here with my cousin for my birthday last year, they recently started doing day party's. The dj was great he played all my favorite ol skool r&b joints. Food and drinks was decent but not the best I've had. Decided to pay them a visit last friday only to find out that this place is now permanently closed.another restaurant in cal city bites the dust. ?

Was not open and looked abandoned although website, social media pages and Google said open and someone referred us to go here. We paid $113 for our uber to take us there from a skating Rink to return to our AirBnB in Chinatown once we arrived and saw it closed.Social media pages haven't been updated since Feb 9th of 2023. Beware and call ahead to save time and traveling $$$

I hadn't been to Tilly's in years, but I met my sister's coworkers there for lunch. We arrived early one Saturday afternoon to find the restaurant practically empty. Our waitress was very nice and fairly attentive, but the food was gross. I had the gumbo and catfish sandwich. The catfish had no flavor and tasted like it came out of the freezer. It was surprising because I recall the food being better during my last visit. I also had the gumbo. It was okay, but nothing special.The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, but they had the music a tad too loud. You'd think we were in a club instead of a restaurant.

The vibe here is amazing! The food not so much. I was disappointed when I asked for catfish and grits and got Tilapia. There was no seasoning at all. My friends ordered other items as well and nothing was good. The DJ was amazing! He took our minds off the fact that the food was bad. Our waitress was also amazing along with the bottomless mimosas and shots. If I go back I know to eat before I come. Nice hang out spot for friends though.

Came here for karaoke while visiting family in Chicago for Thanksgiving. Had a lot of fun. Drinks were ok but the food was really good. I would check them out again
I'd rate it a 4.8 if i could. Only because of the cold butter they served me for the waffles. You can't spread it if it's cold smh. Besides that, the food there is always great and service was good. I just don't wanna walk into a club atmosphere on a Sunday at noon...sheesh.

Was visiting from Colorado a friend suggested we go there. We had just made it into town so we wanted to get something to eat. But the kitchen had just closed. So that was a bummer. But other then that it was good. There was a nice crowd. Go check it out!

I would recommend this place, if you like a ghetto atmosphere. I'm not use to going to a restaurant, and getting searched at the door. I should have followed my first mind and turned around and went right back out the door. The waitress had a terrible attitude, wasn't friendly at all...or should I say the barmaid. Whatever her title is just a unhappy person. After ordering drinks and food, I left her a tip (regretted it later). We were sitting at the table for maybe a hour, she comes over and say "this table is reserved". I thought to myself WTH!!! To top that off the cleaning boy started cleaning off the table with some stinky towel. I said to myself, I better leave because it wasn't going to go well. There's always a better way to treat you customer, you never know who you may be entertaining.., they just lost 4 customers & how many others I decide to tell about my experience. Not worthy of the one star I'm giving them.
