I love it, you may think simple food, simple ice cream but there is more than that. It is very homey and each employee serves your food full of passion and if you live in the town you know what I mean. The kids there are usually from Central School getting ready for college and use the money they earn for college and that is very sweet to me that the family owned business hires young people like they are family. OH and the lime slushies are DELICIOUS!
My grandfather and I tried this place when we accidentally picked an off-night to hit up the diner in town. Ice cream shop with traditional, fried shop food - pork tenderloins, burgers, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, and the like. Chicken tenders and fish were decent, but we didn't get to try their ice cream. Busy, busy place for the tiny, tiny population at Camp Point. Lainey and Dakota were awesome on my travels to Camp Point!Unfortunately, the holiday weekend means the majority of things were closed, but Shake Shack was awesome and even gave me suggestions on what and where to go to burn sometime.Eventually I settled on a Iced Mohca and it was fantastic!Thanks!Sincerely Mike from Chicago
