I always drove by this place when haulin grain, last week I decided to stop by after work and OMG. Ended up getting the 1/2 Slab of Ribs for Me and My Mom it was outstanding. The meat was literally falling of the bones. This place is a MUST!!

For a small rural community the prices are way to high. A consumer can go in any direction and get way better food for cheaper. I do not believe any of the food is homemade like the owners says it is. The food looks gross on the Facebook page someone needs to learn marketing skills. A consumer can drive 20 minutes and buy the same brand of ice cream for 2.00 less. There has been issues with price changes without notice and over charging people when they come to pick up their food. There are laws against consumer fraud and the owner doesn't care at all about that. The owner encourages bullying on The Dairy Barn BBQ Facebook page when a person had a legit complaint. The owners are very unprofessional and need to learn customer service skills. The place was built saying it was going to be just like the Huntley Dairy Mart. The Dairy Barn BBQ is NOTHING LIKE THE Huntley Dairy Mart . The Huntley Dairy Mart is awesome. The Dairy Barn BBQ is the complete opposite. Even the name is confusing sounds like they serve BBQ ice cream.

Great little place that is very easy to miss. More than just ice cream, good wood fired pizzas, great ribs, loaded fries, and the prices are as small as the town. Great stop.

Not bad for just starting out cook time is a little slow prices a bit high for the area it is in but eventually I hope it will work these problems out we need a good restaurant in capron it will be up to them whether they pass or fail I wish them the best of luck snoman

OMG the ribs fall off the bone - so delicious!! We'll definitely go back. The ice cream is great, also. Service was friendly. We had to wait a little bit for our order, but it was TOTALLY worth it. They are open on weekends. We'd like to try the pizza, but those ribs... too good to pass up!

Everything we had at the Dairy Barn BBQ was delicious and big enough portions to share. We had two different pulled pork sandwiches... one traditional and one Carolina. (Get them with the Hawaiian buns!) The Wood-fired Pizza was done in no time and had great flavor. The cheese curds were the best we've had anywhere! After we were done we went back for Chocolate Shoppe Ice Creams. This is the best Ice cream in the country and we've been known to travel to Wisconsin to get some before. This place is on IL 173 and pretty much is downtown Capron. There is no seating by design but the food is worth the trip. Next time I'm getting the ribs. We could smell them cooking from down the street!
