Most of the time we have fantastic experiences here. Yes, they certainly feel quite understaffed many nights, but it hasn’t ever been an issue in the past. We were informed that there would be a wait as the kitchen was backed up, mind you there were MANY open seats and tables, as well as at least 3 servers.Well we figured we hadn’t had any issues in the past yet, so we stuck around, waiting to be sat.Four people that came in after us were softly turned down with the news of a long wait as well (though they did what I wish my friend and I had done and left.)We were there before 10PM and left around 10:40PM, and that entire time we were not even seated at a table. We would have waited for food, honestly we would have appreciated if we were at least seated at one of the MANY empty tables. At least then we could have at least gotten a drink :(I’m extremely disappointed, I was genuinely so excited because we never have had any bad service there but tonight it would have been better to have gotten bad service over NO service.Salt in the wound was watching one of the waitstaff pour a man his beer at the bar and chat it up whilst we were still waiting to even be seated.Somehow the pregnant bar hop at Sonic got us our food and drinks within 5 minutes. That’s more than half an hour faster than this Applebees would have been able to seat us tonight I suppose.

The time between ordering and the first appetizer showing up was 40 minutes, and the time from the first entree to the last entree showing up was 35 minutes for a table of 6. Our server certainly wasn’t slacking, but she was only one of two working a normal Sunday evening crowd.

I ordered my food then 3 other tables came in. 2 tables ordered what I did the classic sampler and got it within mins. I left after 30 mins of waiting for my food that never came. I do not want the local franchise to call me. Not going to give you a chance to waste my time again. I get one lunch break. And you wasted it

Steak looked old. Ordered rare and got well done. They didn't offer a refire, or to fix it. Wings were still frozen and even being one of only 3 tables it took over 15 min to order and 40 more to be served our food. Manager looks to crabby to work with people

If I could give a .3 star I would. I’ve been sitting at the door waiting to be waited on and to make it worse I’m a deliverer for DoorDash and grubhub. They still don’t give a damn. They wanna say the kitchen is swamped but the restaurant is not even full. The disrespect to the customers ordering and to the curriers is something else. Do better. Shaking my damn head.

When we got there, every single table was covered with used, dirty dishes and this was at 3:30pm so it was not during a busy time. Our waitress brought me the wrong cocktail and gave me attitude when I told her so. They were out of all side dishes besides french fries. I had ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp and both were burnt and tasted horrible. The sautéed onions and mushrooms were incredibly greasy and I only got one tiny piece of mushroom. The spinach and artichoke dip was very thick and pasty. The out of a jar salsa was the best part of the meal. Will NOT be returning there again.

It was the worst place I believe I have eaten. Tòk 45 minutes to just get a salad, 2 hours to get ribs which were horrible. We went for our 40th anniversary because we love Applebee's where we live. I don't advise anyone to eat at carbondale Applebee'
Surprisingly, barely anyone was present outside of staff, though numerous take out orders were seen being filled. The food was the quality one would expect from Applebee's.

Terrible. I went in at 7:30. There were 2 people at the bar. And 2 tables of 2 in the restaurant. There was a bartender and two waiters. I sat at the bar and it was 10 minutes before I was waited on. I should have known better at this point and left but I didn't. Food was okay, but it took forever to get it. Just not a pleasurable dining experience.
