i placed an order for delivery today. I have been trying to support local restaurants and today was Emma and Arnie's turn. It was a bit past the expected delivery time and my food had not arrived so I called found out there was a mistake but they were making it and it would be here soon. Ultimately it took a liitle longer than planned. I was annoyed and hangry but I understand these things happen and once I'd eaten my reuben I was fine.. All of the food was delicious like alw

Wow! Best sandwiches in southern Illinois. Had “Robins special” which is a simple ham and Swiss. Pickles are sweet and delicious and the ingredients were top notch.
Friendly Service for dine in or carry out. Enjoy their special or create your own. Picnic in the Forest, Carry out.

As a college student, I worked at Arnold's Market and had high hopes for this sandwich shop piggy backing on the good Arnold's name. The service was terrible. The cashier/server was rude and blase. This is after I had already paid the bill and left a substantial tip. The 2 sandwiches ordered were alright. Lots of meat, but my "toasted" request was not honored. The "garnish" sandwich could be a lot better. Arnold's Market always had a nice hippy vibe ~ Emma and Arnold's has a lunchlady vibe.
