It's a Golden Corral. They have a large variety of food, some that look questionable. Most looks pretty good. Great place if you have multiple people and want a quick and varied option that can accommodate most people. Child-friendly and elderly-friendly. 5/10 on cleanliness. They have those carpeted restaurant floors so you know they're never really THAT clean. The staff overall has been friendly each time. It is a buffet so you run the risk of food born illness, but that's any restaurant. The price is fair for the food.

Pitiful scene today as I witnessed (white female) management be belligerent with an elderly black woman (80 years old) because she wrapped her leftover piece of fish and dessert and put it in her purse to take with her. She didn’t get extra. She wasn’t packing off containers. She took what you’d throw away (her leftover fish) and her dessert (gummy bears) with her because her friend (86 & on blood thinners) was freezing; literally wrapped up and shivering in your restaurant. You don’t know any of though because you chose to verbally attack and embarrass her as if she was trying to eat and leave without paying. I realize it’s all you can eat INSIDE, as you kept announcing, but your behavior was unnecessary and uncalled for. Over a piece of leftover fish and gummy bears…. pitiful. Absolutely pitiful behavior towards a human being. You ma’am do not need to be in charge of a restaurant. Be a better human.

Definitely a poor second to the Golden Corral in Effingham, Illinois.The service was extraordinarily bad. No one came to pick up my used plate from my first trip to the buffet. The meatloaf was cut into small pieces and it was so dry I couldn't finish it. The picture shows it's uneaten portion size.I'll go there again because it's the only one in Carbondale.Dietary restrictions: It's a buffet! Meaning that you can choose what you eat. Muslim or Jewish? Don't eat the pulled pork or ham. Vegan? There are plenty of fruits and vegetables? On the SAD Diet? Pig out on the junk food.

Fried fish over done jumbo shrimp over done bottom of cheese burger black boiled eggs frozen salad area looked good fried chicken dry!! If I was the manager I would be ashamed of my self I have been in food 30 plus years the server was young and just inexperienced. I probably won't go

Been to many Golden Corrals. .. staff here was so friendly and personable. ONLY location I have been to where they are consistently checking temperatures, wiping down EVERYTHING..... exceptional service!

All the food was cold, dry, and looked like it had been sitting all day... couldn't get anyone to cook a steak. Their wasn't one friendly person, and everyone acted as if I was a burden because I came in to eat something thank God the salad bar was ok but I didn't pay all that money for a salad....
Stopped in Carbondale to break up the trip and went for dinner. Overall typical Golden Corral food. Did have very good service from the person at the register to our waiter.

Food was cold. Dressing for salad was slimy. There was a bowl full of salad fixings left on a table for an hour which I have a pic of it. I not coming back here anymore it's GROSSSSSSSSSS!!!

This restaurant was a very short walk from the Hampton Inn I was staying in, super-convenient for me to get a to-go steak dinner. I didn’t know how things worked but the staff was helpful and patient.

Went for my daughter's birthday. I think everyone's favorite part was they have a slushie machine next to their ice cream machine. Never seen that in a restaurant before, was lots of fun.
