Veteran ran winery with great music, wine, and selection of craft beers. Had the opportunity to see the eclipse here in April of 2024. The service and atmosphere are above and beyond.

Very nice place with excellent staff.

Nice place, very good wine and they had some good live music with a nice setting. Bring your own snacks but they do have a food truck on weekends spring to fall

The staff/owners were very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed the Woody Red dry wine

My favorite winery.

Smaller winery but they are so nice! Our server was the owner and he was super friendly and talked us into trying a wine we wouldn't have normally tried. Left with 2 bottles of the wine. Highly recommend this place to go and relax.

Middle of nowhere Southern IL winery. Great white wine banana slushie. Live music, outdoor venue, has great airflow provided by large fans.

Have been there a couple of times. It's local but still in the middle of no where. Atmosphere is good. Music is always good. But I don't think there drinks have any alcohol, this last trip. I drank a half gallon of their Sangria. I walked away feeling absolutely fine. Ran into friends and they stated they didn't think there was any wine in their drinks either.

Honker Hill winery is another stop along the Illinois wine trail. This winery sits on what seems like many rolling acres. The winery is very spread out and has a confusing layout. After finding our way to the crowded bar and very much understaffed bar at that, we weren't greeted anytime soon. There was a party in an adjoining room and it seemed as if all the attention of the employees was going in that direction. Once we were greeted and our tasting started it was just a pour after pour. No information was provided on what we were drinking. I think under different circumstances, mostly a server and staff who would have been attentive this could have been a different story. However you really only have one chance to make a first impression. We did see a food truck as we left but this layout isn't inviting nor was the staff and I might not invite myself back.

Little taste of what Spillway Road used to be, a great place for a party. Wonderful atmosphere, but don't expect a trendy upscale winery. Go late for the best experience. Nice fire pit. The wine is not the high point here, but maybe it will improve as they get better at it. Very friendly staff, lots of parking. Wish it was there 50 years or so ago.
