This place had great reviews so we decided to give it a try while in town visiting family. One of the reasons we chose it was for the burgers and they were out of burgers when we went to order. This can happen but it does lend to our disappointment. The catfish was not very good. It sure didn't seem like fresh made. It was flat, thin, and dark; just weird. The grilled chicken sandwich had great flavor but was very tough. The Italian beef was overly salty and just not tasty. The fries and onion rings were okay.... typical diner sides. The atmosphere was also typical diner, which we expected. Our server made sure to visit us several times and made sure our drinks were full. The food just wasn't good enough to come back. I think the high reviews are from the locals who know the owners and the employees and just love them. This type of support is great. Every town needs this kind of place. We have one in our town and we just love them and support them. This just wasn't the meal we were hoping for.

Tried this place for the first time had an omelet and it was so flat and small couldn't even pick up with my fork I know it wasn't 3 egg omelet also they call home fries hashbrowns which are schredded potatoes which are much better I don't like country potatoes and the biscuits and gravy are horrible have to use a knife to cut them needless to say I won't be back don't know how they been open since the 60s..

I have tried to eat at this restaurant three times in the past fifteen years. Three times I have ordered biscuits and gravy. Twice I have paid for biscuits and gravy. None of those times did I actually receive biscuits and gravy. If that is supposedly their gig, they need to get good at it. The restaurant itself was dirty, they used bleach cleaner on the table without drying it and sat us. There were weird Bible verses and pro-life messages on a giant flat screen in front of my face the whole meal. It's one of those places that's only open because of its reputation, it's not actually good. I'm sure the people that work there for wages are nice and work hard. I'm not going to give them a fourth chance. The table reeked of bleach and was wet the first 5 minutes we were there. I've worked at many restaurants and managed. I know what you have to do and not. This is a lazily run local business that slides by on reputation, not quality.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I've been coming here once or twice a month for the last 3 or 4 years. The service is top notch, and they'll keep your coffee full until you say "stop." I usually get the one egg breakfast. It comes WITH a meat ( sausage, ham, or bacon) hashbrowns, one egg any way, and toast. But that's not all, you also get a small order of biscuits and gravy and coffee at no additIonal charge. THATS INSANE. All for less than $10. There is no better bang for the buck.

We met our fiend here for breakfast on the way to a golf event. Parking is across the street in the public lot. It was my first time trying Mary Lou's. It has a diner vibe, with seating at tables or the bar. We sat at the bar and received quick service. They are famous for their biscuits and gravy and almost every meal on the menu offers them. I do not like biscuits and gravy so I can't give you my personal review, but everyone else scraped their plates, so they must be pretty good! My traditional breakfast items, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast were all good! We will be back!

Insinuating that my husband’s electric wheelchair (not a scooter, a regular power wheelchair ) would “ruin her floors “. Never spending another penny there.
