Gave this place a shot twice now to be sure. Been a terrible experience both times now. Not only is the food overpriced and not good tasting, but the worst is the service I think.Slow service can be overlooked, but both times now I've seen the same staff (first time was months after they opened), yet it's almost like they just started working in the food industry this morning. Despite the place being empty, Nobody seems to have interest in seating us for 5 minutes, then another 10 minutes to even take the order. This is even with clearly seeing 4 or 5 people hanging out wearing aprons. Even placing the order takes forever because it's almost like they're surprised at their own menu and have no idea what's on it.The staff here give off the feeling they're either under the influence or have no clue what they're even doing on shift in the first place.No idea how this place even has managed to stay open.

I ordered a fish sandwhich. I arrived about 25 minutes after I ordered from the website. When I got there, the guy said he just recieved my order and would make it right away. I waited for him to make my order. When I got home I noticed that there was mold all over the bottom of the bread. I went back and showed the guy the moldy bread. He asked if I wanted a hotdog bun instead. I asked for a refund and he told me that since I ordered online, from their website, using Slice I would have to call Slice --and it was nothing he could do. I called Slice immediately and got a refund. I will not be returning.

We were very disappointed on this visit. The service was good but the food was not. The crablegs and the lobster tail were over cooked and the potatoes were under cooked. My husband and brother in law were looking forward to coming here for months only to be disappointed. It was We won't be back. I'm sure we aren't the only ones.

We went with friends before a recital at SIU and it was so good. The folks there are kind and the vibe of the place is relaxed and fun. We look forward to our next trip!Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome and feels welcomedWheelchair accessibility: It’s all on one floor.
What a great find! Food was delicious and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and make suggestions. The seafood toast was such a fun surprise! ❤️ We will come back!

The crab legs, mussels, shrimp, and crawfish are so good! You won't find a place in So. IL that has better seafood. I've previously had the shrimp po boy and fried catfish and that was delicious as well. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and the food is phenomenal. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!
The wife and I had our first time experience here tonight. Waited 20 mins to get our drinks which is okay for what they had to work with. They had someone walk out on them and they were down to one waitress. This grow of workers were busting their butts off tonight!

We really wanted to give this place 5 stars. We were excited to finally have a great fish restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect and smelled great. When we went there, it must have been a rough night, but that made for a really awful experience. I will forgive a stressed staff, but it seemed to show systematic issues. Most glaringly, the portions were made smaller than they had to be. When you order a "basket" here, expect an appetizer not a dinner. I will admit, I ordered the 6 shrimp instead of 8, yet on my bowl were 5 shrimp from this already small portion. Likewise, there was only one waitress on a friday night and because the work, she forgot to refill our tea. I would suggest having more help, more honest portions (even if it is more expensive,) and preparation. Looking forward to a better experience in the future.

The alligator bites were disgusting and over cooked. The food is not that great for the wait you have to endure. Waited for over an hour and never got food. Watched people be served before us and watched even more people walk out. This place would have so much potential if they ran it correctly.

Not enough workers with about 4 large parties going. The two waitresses were confusing orders. It was definitely different from most seafood places and I felt the price was good. When talking with the waitress my father and I told her having sauce on the seafood was different for us. Her response was you must not have had Cajun food before. Him and I laughed so hard my husband explains that we were from Louisiana! Not only from Louisiana but lived in the heart of Cajun country for years.

We had high expectations of this place.. DO NOT get the raw oysters , they were horrible and were half frozen .. The seafood establishment had no LEMONS! The seafood boil combos were VERY good , but that won’t make me come back . For the high prices , it should be phenomenal. Also , no buckets for your scraps .. no crackers .. Kick it up a notch guys , or a LOT of notches ..
