There’s this man that used to work there up until Oct of 2022. Tall, dark skin, muscular, kind smile. He was good people. His presence made me feel comfortable.

My friends and I came here for a day party for BAG reunion. It was really great seeing all of the SIU Alumni. Music was decent, nothing to write home about. Whenever we are in town, we always stop by.

Love this place! Such a fun and welcoming environment. LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY! AND WELCOMED! Free pool. Good drinks. Great bartenders. Lots of space to bring friends!Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps to get inside and I've seen someone with a motorized wheelchair come to Hangar sometimes!

Amazing night club with an amazing lightshow, great dj and drag show occasionally. Looks like a great place to see your favorite bands.

The Hanger is a true staple of Carbondale life. It will not be defeated (once a storm tore the roof off and the owner rebuilt and came back even stronger). There are concerts, karaoke nights, trivia nights, the ubiquitous Illinois slot machines, pool tables. The beer list is extensive (you can get both "regular" and craft beer here). So many nights the social life of Carbondale has come to mean the Hanger. Long may it thrive.

If you come on karaoke night, bring a $10 bill to bribe the DJ or he’ll skip you for people that do.

If you aren’t local you won’t get on stage. Locals will sing 4 times (terribly) before you will hear your name

Went to karaoke last night with my partner and put our names in. The KJ allowed the same 10 people go up and sing three times before we were called up to go sing once. This is not an exaggeration. Then when we finally did get to sing the volume on our mic was so quiet you couldn't hear yourself at all. Super disappointed! I've been here before and it was a great time and a very cool bar. I get taking care of your locals but it was such a poor experience. Don't tell me I signed up late and that's why it's taking awhile. It's taking awhile because you let all your locals sing a bunch times before you allowed new singers to sing their first time. We go to karaoke all the time and that's a very poor practice.

Hangar 9 to say the least was very interesting. The vibe inside is pretty nice, service to get drinks was quick. They also had a Dj there playing music which was quite nice. Not sure if they serve food but the drinks were good.
