“The lady working was so nice. She was about to close up for the day but stopped so my little guy could get a treat. Mom had an appointment so we hung out in the cafe and he loved his pudding. I didn't get the lady's name but thank you if you see this review. He loved it.“

“I go to common grounds pretty frequently and I always get the iced buttercream latte. It’s so good and i’ve never had anything quite like it anywhere else. I always try the seasonal flavors too and today I got the iced eggnog latte. This is the best latte that I have had in my entire life! I will be dreaming about it later and will be back for more! The staff is also always super kind and helpful!“

“5/7/24 excellent little hole in the wall type of restaurant. I had the Mexican omelette, which had the perfect amount of chorizo, and everything else. The salsa had a nice little zing to it without being too zingy.I would definitely eat here again.“

“The staff were friendly and had a good atmosphere to sit and eat. There are a couple of options for vegetarians. They ran out of flat bread so we had to order a sub. We ordered veggie and spinach pesto from the "Not breakfast" menu. We also ordered an Americano which was ok. The food was good but it was very sweet. We were not sure if it was some topping or if they added sugar syrup. It's a decent place to eat in Herrin.Vegetarian options: There are a couple of options for vegetarians under the "Not breakfast" menu.“

“Tea is good but too sweet- but please please dont use the restroom. Its TERRIBLE. The door handle and around the door is filthy and the toilet was worse than many gas station taco bathroom events. The sink is disgusting and the paper towel holder puts out a 1/4 inch st a time. Makes me wonder how clean their boh is with the fecal matter crusted inside the toilet“

“Sam's Cafe has some great late-night food options! The owner and employees are always very nice and provide a great atmosphere for the business. I highly recommend stopping in and getting something great to eat. Always support our small-town businesses, especially when they provide good service and quality product!“

“I grabbed some donuts for my kids here one morning. They were busy with cars in the drive thru and people inside. The staff were friendly and courteous. They were patient with my order and questions. My kids like the long john's with no filling and chocolate icing. I like the cinnamon donuts. They also have good coffee here. The prices are very reasonable.Parking: Small parking lot but parking available. They are located off Highway 48, so it's a busy road in the mornings.Kid-friendliness: Good environment for kids“
