Cool cafe in the library, coffee drinks, sodas, food/pastries, all at reasonable prices, much less than a typical coffee shop would charge.

I didn't eat but the Cafe breve was perfect. Service was prompt and friendly. I sat and worked on a project while people came and went . Perfect for me. If you want less activity there is a quiet study room. It is very active in the afternoon after Edison lets out.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: wheel chair accessible I think. The table space is very open. Front doors to the library are large and automatic. I don't know how the counter might feel if you are using a wheelchair

The Cafe has many things to offer,I don't normally purchase but there's alot to chose from. They got fresh fruit, they have a variety of drinks, even types of coffee. They have like a freezer with anything from water to certain soda drinks. They sale sweets to, its ideal if u want a snack or something healthy just remember to keep a lid on your drink if u want to walk around the library, they have rules and laws u have to go by like any places else.

Champaign public library is a great place to go. They have two floors. The first floor almost sets up for children .Many small size book shelves and colorful books in there. The library even makes a space for children to have fun. The second floor is a space for adults reading. There stores different series of books and CD/DVD . I saw some readers sitting by the table or on the couches . The hall is quite quiet. If you come Champaign, I recommend you to go Champaign public library ,you will have a nice time.

I knew this library was great for studying but I never realized how wonderful it was for children. The first floor downstairs has a corner devoted to young children. It's fabulous. There are kid friendly height chairs and tables for the young ones to feel like adults. Books are easily within reach for every young age and the librarians are so helpful. The kids can practice checking out books at a kiosk in the children's section that is lower in height. There are online options for reserving books and looking at the selection available at Champaign and Urbana library. It's so easy to find a book you want and have it reserved for pick up .The library is open 7 days a week which gives ultimate flexibility.

We went there, specifically, to check out the Friend's Bookstore. The Bookstore is in the basement, with shelves and shelves of well organized books for sale. Fiction is alphabetized by author. The non-fiction is broken down into tons of meaningful categories. Upstairs, there is an unbelievable number of DVDs to borrow. There is also a coffee shop, with both indoor and outdoor seating. A very impressive Library!
