I always love going to Sammy's! The staff are always friendly and the food is always good. It's definitely one of my favorites and the best breakfast restaurant in Chambana. My go-to is typically the Tennessee Skillet but today I tried the Stuffed Biscuits and Gravy. YUM!

Update:Sadly, their service has declined :( Last time we were there, they had a baseball game playing very loudly on the speakers. They sat us right next to a speaker. We asked if they could turn it down or off. They said, "No, the manager has the key to the radio and he's not there." We asked if we could move to this other area. They said, "No, because we cleaned that table already." I guess they don't want to clean too many times? They did allow us to move to a nearby table in the same area, but it was still too loud. At the same time, the manager was at the counter (after saying he wasn't there). We called them out on it, and so they asked...and they said, "No." We then left and went to another restaurant. This was a great place, now sadly we won't be dining there.Prior review:Lots of menu options. They have Heuvos a la Mexicana, which is a plus already. Ingredients were fresh and good quality. I usually always rate a diner by their French Toast, but their multi-grain pancakes intrigued me instead. They were ?. Service was great and friendly. Will come back... so many other items to try here.

They don’t care about customers. Good food but don’t waste your time. Went in and manager had loud sports radio on with commercials, and we asked to move away from it and they said they were closing other sections down due to cleaning. We asked if they could turn it down, they lied to us and said they didn’t have the key to the office and that the manager had left. Out from the kitchen comes the manager, so we asked again- then we find out “he just didn’t want to turn it down”. We left- we had been regulars here and will not be going back.

Today for lunch we went to Sammy’s pancake house for the first time. The dining area was large with both booths and tables. The chairs at the table not only rolled but they had a thick cushion which made them very comfortable. They serve breakfast all day but I chose to have a burger instead. I did not love my burger. It tasted like a frozen patty with no seasoning. It was better after I added salt and pepper to it. The fries were very good though. My partner got the southern skillet and it was delicious! A great balance of potatoes, bacon, sausage, gravy, egg and cheese. When we return I will definitely get a breakfast item as I think it’s what they are more known for. Price was reasonable and our waitress, Rachel was very personable and attentive. Also side note, you MUST get their cinnamon bread. Wow! It was amazing!

This is a wonderful breakfast spot in Champaign. Service is always friendly and fast. You are always greeted when you walk in. The food comes out quickly and hot. Serving sizes are big but not overwhelming. I've had a number of dishes here over the years and they are always great. This visit I had the blueberry pancakes ? cooked with blueberry sauce and whipped cream with regular syrup. Delicious.

This was the best breakfast spot in Chambana while I was there if you’re looking for a true diner experience with great food. Sammy works hard, you can see him in person at the restaurant helping sit customers & other stuff. His dedication is a testament to the success of the restaurant!I’d recommend anything on the menu, but especially the breakfast skillets

10/10 would recommend. The banana crunch waffle is absolutely amazing! My fiance had the biscuits and gravy and he devoured it within minutes! On top of the food being amazing the service was even better!We’re definitely coming back here. :)

Pretty classic breakfast place that's quite busy Sunday after church but one of the shorter wait times! I got a Philly steak skillet that was filling and good portions! Would definitely want to come back and try the other skillets!
