The food was pretty decent. It's not the best Korean I've had in the States, but it's definitely worth the price.

San Mary has some of the best Korean food in Champaign! The owner is so helpful and will explain the menu and good things to try if you’re new to Korean food.

Cozy joint tucked a bit out of the way with some very good Korean food. This place is run by some very kind people. I loved the seolleong tang, very rich and fragrant and served nice and hot. The banchan were also very good, especially the radish kimchi. I'm glad I ordered the kimchi fried rice to-go to snack on later; just delicious. Hope to stop by again another time I'm in town to try their bingsoo.

Steamed mandoo were our favorite, the sauce was a bit light, but was cooked perfectly for a wrapping with great chew.Bulgogi (unpictured) a bit on the sweeter side, and bang bang chicken was a tad dry but we still enjoyed both, the Beef was of nice quality.Mackerel had a good flavor as well.

San maru is one of the few authentic Korean places available in the CU area. I tried multiple dishes and they were all good. The food does take longer to be served due to the small kitchen size.

I ordered the beef bulgogi with cucumber salad. The beef tasted great and the dish itself was tasty. The cucumber salad was plentiful but a little lacking in flavor. My partner got the chicken bento box and tempura Cali rolls. The bento box came with a good amount of food and it tasted great. Same as the rolls which came steaming hot and fresh. Great service and great Japanese food. As a lowkey place for freshly made Japanese food, I would highly recommend!

Went for lunch for the first time the other day and had the warmest welcome from the owner. She explained some of the dishes and was refreshingly friendly. It got a bit busy so I didn’t get the fastest service but that is okay. You can tell these ladies work incredibly hard and the proof is directly in the food. The Spicy Pork Bento box was phenomenal. I love all the sides included and the flavor of the pork. Can’t wait to be back again!

Friendly, quick service with amazing homemade quality. Everything was delicious! My husband, two kids and I all shared the steamed meat mandoo, fried kimari, jabchae, chicken bulgogi and don katsu. Everything was incredible! 10/10
