The menu labels all their vegan options and options that can be made vegan if asked, which I'm appreciative of. Sometimes when restaurants don't do that I just want to print out stickers and do it for them. It's just a one-time cost that'd help so many of us here.
That's beside the point, the place is certified mid. I had the *chana pindi* (obviously made vegan) with rice which was just okay. An alright choice if going with others and want to spend too much for mid food. Usually, people order family style, but given that you're on this platform you'll just eat what you ordered.
I wouldn't go here by yourself or with other vegans/vegetarians. Might as well just cook for yourself.
The food was amazing. I've never been here before but I'll definitely be coming back. I'd love to try entry naan they have on the menu. The plain ones were amazing.

Food is delicious! Try their specialties! Pistachio chicken curry is incredible. So is the goat and the lamb chops. Our kids love the Malawi chicken too.

We went to drop our kid at Dana champagne the first time and realize we should eat because we were hungry and that was the best Indian restaurant. Some of the people told me to go in the food was disgusting. We ordered butter chicken and the butter chicken was as sweet as hell And it wasn’t even tasty or any taste similar to butter chicken and then we finished finally somehow the food and I went to use the bathroom to wash my hand ,that’s like weird bathroom . It’s outside all the way with no latches for all the door,how does people use without doors .I can’t even sit down and close my door and pee for a second in a cold weather like this I couldn’t pee and I have to hold my pee and come back home all the way three hours and then use the restroom. I would never suggest to go there any time in my life to anyone with unsecured bathrooms like that as if they are so broke.

One of the best restaurants in town and likely the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to, The Himalayan Chimney hits on all cylinders in all categories: atmosphere, service, food taste, food quality, food selection, drink list (full bar) - they're even fast for a weekday lunch. How could anyone leave disappointed?
So many of my friends raved about this place so I had to try it -- and I keep coming back! I think it's on the pricer side of CU area food but feels worth it. Portions are pretty good, I always leave feeling stuffed. We like to order family style! My favorites so far has been the lamb vindaloo and chicken biriyani! I'm not usually a lamb person because I don't always like the game-y taste of it, but their lamb dishes don't taste game-y at all!

I didn't know what to think when I walked into this place. I was pleasantly surprised at the interior. Ordered some food, it came to the table, it was tasty, I liked it. I would suggest this to anyone if you're in the Champaign area.

I don't understand why they make their food so spicy even though the menu explicitly states that they're not spicy. You couldn't even taste the food because of the amount of spice. When the menu says it's not spicy, then it shouldn't be. So simple!
