I loved the hotpot at Tsaocaa! It really was the real shabu shabu experience making my own hotpot! I also love all the choices I get with the hotpot menu. I used to just go for boba because their boba is the best in Champaign(a lot of boba for a good price), but now, I go more for hotpot and order boba with my hotpot. It’s like the perfect real restaurant dine in experience. I like to go for cute dates or anniversaries because the place is also really cute for pictures! Definitely the nicest place on campus for a cute, nice meal?I recommended to a bunch of friends, and they all loved it. I went with a non-asian friend, and it was also perfect for her taste since it wasn’t too spicy or strong! 5/5 stars:)

They have good milk tea. I especially like the caramel brown sugar oreo one (I forgot the exact name).However- I also liked their bubble waffles up until they served me an undercooked/raw one. I accidentally ate some yesterday and now I am sick with stomach pain and nausea. How hard is it to remake a waffle that was clearly undercooked instead of serving it to a customer?I will not be returning and am disappointed as I really did enjoy this establishment.

I tried the caramel bubble milk black tea with oreo and milk foam and loved it! The drink was made very fast and the tea was delicious. It was very refreshing and sweet. The caramel and oreo were also a great touch- a great blend of flavors. I will definitely be going again soon!

I got the Caramel Bubble Milk Black Tea with Oreo & Milk Foam, and it was fantastic! I loved how the flavors blended so well together. It was my first time trying a drink that is out of my comfort zone because I usually go for drinks that I'm used to, so I was glad that it exceeded my expectations! :))

I don't really go here for the boba, so I can't say much on that. The hotpot is really good! Very conveniently located on the UIUC campus. I got the kimchi soup base, it was soooo good. The lamb meat is also very good, but can't go wrong with the beef either. One hot pot is a lot of food, so come hungry. Or you can definitely share one with someone if not super hungry. Service is really quick! Def recommend if looking for good hotpot on campus.

Milk tea and other drinks are delicious. Pudding is additive, but it's overcooked sometimes. I came here in Covid time, so there was no dine-in for the hot pot. They have their reputation for the hot pot, I would love to try when the place is fully opened. Parking can be a little tricky if you are not from the town.I like the machine they use to take order.I changed my review because of your cupholder. It's completely useless! Please buy one that fits your cup's size. It's pretty annoying carrying several orders with a cupholder that does not hold anything. See my picture ??

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, I really like this place personally! I got the ruby red fruit tea with amber bubbles at 70% sweetness, and it was so good and refreshing. Honestly could've gone less sweet though, as the fruits are already quite sweet. My boyfriend got the mango yogurt at 70% sweetness. The drink came with crystal boba, which we didn't expect. Neither of us like crystal boba, but the crystal boba at Tsaocaa is not too bad. Overall, a 5/5 experience for us!

Their boba tea is really authentic and tastes great. My personal favorites are caramel and brown sugar milk tea, both of which are on the sweet side. If you prefer a lighter taste, their cloud mist green tea is also really good.Con: (during COVID) their tablet for ordering was broken for a bit. Even when it’s working i don’t really like the experience (scrolling and clicking can both be very awkward).
