I ordered the tilapia tonight which is supposed to be made to order but this fish has to be days old by how dry it is. Leathery textured. This is my first bad experience here, normally the food is good.

Haven’t had this place in a minute but decided to go! My first review was a good one but now not so much. The yams are red which threw me off completely and tasted like big red gum the cabbage was bland the Mac and cheese has potential oh well that’s me thing that didn’t changed that i love Is the jerk

I heard the food was good- boy was I disappointed. We ordered the half chicken with Mac/cheese, garlic potatoes, rice and beans. Worse jerk food, I have ever had. The meat / chicken was not flavored. The jerk sauce was gross. The Mac /cheese tastes like oil. Rice was mushy and tastes like nothing but salt. The food was overpriced for basically garbage.

The worst service ever. Instead of trying to be stern and and having bare minimal respect customers paying for your not the best jerk food in Chicago heights. Try being courteous and more focus on not missing orders. Respect the African American People who patronize your culture. Future customers check your orders every time.
Unfortunately, I was so hungry I didn't take the time to take a pic of the food. I usually get rice and beans but since I'm doing no carbs this month my sides were cabbage and corn. I ordered the combo w 2 meats. Catfish was grilled just needed some seasoning for me, still wasn't bad.The sauce made up for it. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Just enough spice/seasoning on it. I'm very picky when it comes to my jerk chicken and this place didn't disappoint.Vegetarian options: Catfish and shrimp available
I have dined with the restaurant on several occasions at this point. I enjoy the oxtails when they have them in stock. Both the white and dark chicken are also decent. For me the rice needs extra gravy or else it can be a bit thick but tasty nonetheless. The yams and Mac I’m not too crazy about. The garlic potato, corn and cabbage are decent though.

The food was good a year and a half ago for me... it is so nasty now, they should be closed down, if they don't improve. Because it's clear they no longer care, like every other jerk restaurant. They feed us pure bullcrap. I will not be returning. My catfish was undercooked and smelled fishy. The peas and rice were so dry.. literally in clumps. The macaroni and cheese... wth was that?? Cause that wasn't it. So disappointing ugh

I ordered Ubereats, very late, the chicken was so tender and flavored to perfection! They have this gravy they put in the red beans that was super tasty! Very very good food!
