A must try- for a real Chicagoan and a 14 year Homewood resident they are by far killing the Sharks and Harold's Chicken especially on price for a pan of 20 wings and a medium fry is enough to feed adults for $19.00- perfectly cooked with great pricingFried Chicken

1st timer here, quick order for 20 ppl. Super fast service, they knocked it out in 45mins, 3pans of fish, 2 pans of wings and fries. They get an extra star for giving us the white bread. We did not know that the pans didn't come with bread, so my cousin has a way with words, it resulted in them giving us a loaf of bread, we tipped them very well.Fish and chicken seasoned well, you can eat both hot and cold. Look here, cold fried chicken...y'all better stop playing. Reasonably price, great customer service. We walked in feeling ourselves, they dealt w/ our shenanigans and kept a smile on their face.We went on a good night!

AWFUL customer service!!! Management is super unprofessional and rude to the customers!! Especially the lady with thick eyebrows which seemed like the owner/manager! I will never come here again!

This was my first time placing an order and having food from this JJ's. Placing the order was easy. We ordered Catfish tails, Fried Oysters, and Fried Wings. Each order comes with a side of coleslaw, two slices of white bread and french fries. Plenty of condiments--mild, hot sauces, tarter and seafood sauce and a ton of napkins. The staff was nice and cordial. Great appreciation for that. A big celebration that the store was clean and comfortable. The food was great. Everything was cooked well. It was fresh. Having fresh wings is extremely important to me. The bones were not dark. That won me over! Personally, I would like to have my fries and bread on the side, rather than having them squashed. Overall, the Catfish tails and Fried Oysters received a thumbs up also. I'm looking forward to placing an order soon from this establishment. Keep up the good work!

Great food, exceptional service. I've never had a bad experience and it's definitely a spot to come back to regularly. The 3 item combo is a good bet and make sure to get a piece of either the Oreo cake or double chocolate cake!

This is by far the BEST franchise I've ever visited... I had sworn off all J&J's because they all gave me bad experiences, mostly with the taste.. This is the 4th time I've visited for the chicken tender/perch combo. OMG good!!! Always super fresh, no greasy after taste. The cook is GREAT.... even with my special order (no salt, sauce only on the fries... I appreciate the service and the immaculate lobby, waiting area. Nice selection (same) as Sharks or Harold's, but way better

Been going here for almost 6 months so might as well give them their first review. To start, it's a 24/7 corner store so of course their items will be a bit more expensive than say a Tony's or Walmart. I find them to be cheaper than 7/11 at least when it comes to the items I buy such as snacks and beer. It's also much cleaner. Secondly, the employees for the most part are friendly. You get a lot of drunks and deadbeats coming into this JJ Peppers (typical of a lot of 24/7 stores) so if you're a paying customer whose not looking to cause any trouble then they'll treat you well. Finally, this store is in a strip with three restaurants (including a 24/7 subway) and for some reason that makes it feel safer to me than if it was a stand alone store. Overall, JJ Peppers is a great place to hit up when everything else is closed. You could certainly do a lot worse, even during normal business hours.

Someone at work catered a tray for lunch and wow it was so good. We had the catfish and fries tray, it came with mild sauce and hot sauce. Great place!

Not sure what is going on in this place. I got the order wrong twice apparently. I asked for fried catfish fillets. I got steaks grilled. Ordered 3 thighs, got a thigh, wind and a drum. Neither was great but the fries were crisp. One star. Next time I ordered asked for the fried catfish fillets and described them so there would be no error. Got fried steaks. Insert eye roll. Luckily, I also ordered hush puppies. They were good. One star. Not worthy of a return to a place that can't get my order right.
