Egg and I is now STACKS I liked this restaurant when it was EGG AND I, but now that it is STACKS I love the menu a little more. I had raisin toast, hot chocolate and I can never remember the name of the omelette but it has artichoke, tomatoes, some type of pesto, comes with either hash browns, grits, or pancakes. I love hash browns, probably should have had the grits but the point is with a side of bacon I may have paid $18, for some this is steep but understand that some places this same plate is $25-30.... You ask where you'd be surprised. I like to order what I can't have at home so any meal should be different from what I'd cook. The atmosphere is laid back for a Sunday afternoon I did not feel rushed and I wasn't stuffed when done. My practice is Sunday Morning breakfast after Church Service so although we usually attend Kingsberry, STACKS was my place of choice this past Sunday 10/18/2020.

Been going there for years...warm atmosphere...family oriented...pleasant decor and the food is decent just like the staff - I've never had a complaint.Being an asthmatic - it's a smoke free environment. ???

Ate there yesterday and it was great! It is the same people as the Egg and I, though it is now called Stacks and is no longer affiliated with the corporate entity, which gives them more flexibility about the menu and preparation.A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...

My breakfast was absolutely delicious! I tried a seasonal special that was salmon patties, eggs, ranch potatoes, and pancakes a lot of food for the price. The salmon patties was fried nice and the ranch potatoes are always delicious! The service is always great. Everything is so good you don't mind dining alone to enjoy it! The pancakes are moist and the perfect size!

Between this place and The Skyline, the off-kilter name tilted me in its favor. An extensive menu forced me to meander a bit before picking the Tuscan skillet: a breakfast menagerie consisting of ham, diced peppers (orange-yellow-red), spinach and white cheese. Very hot and tasty with varied texture along with the rye toast I ordered--real cushiony-thick rye, not the white bread masquerading as rye most places serve--and hash brown potatoes. I especially liked the personal carafe thermos left at the table so I can refill with abandon. Which I did several times. A good place to dine on a breakfast if you're willing to pay 3x more than you would for an egg McMuffin. With 20 percent tip, I paid ~$20!
