Our first time to Chicago. We were touring the Rookery building. After the tour we were hungry. We started walking towards the Federal Reserve building. Just as we crossed the alley there was this wonderful smell of steak. So we went in and found the restaurant. We shared the Steak and Potatoes with the au poivre sauce. Incredible! The wait staff were very attentive. The chef's passion came through the food. The waitress expressed this passion when explaining the au poivre sauce. Fair price. To finish off the meal we had coffee and cookies. My wife had the Fruity Pebbles cookie. She said it was like Wilma Flintstone had baked it herself. I would come visit you every week if I lived in Chicago. Thank you!

Food really good and service was excellent. They are really only a Lunch spot. There is no dinner menu. I wish they would have mentioned that when we made the reservation. But overall good. Would recommend for lunch.

Very small space with cool decor. For lunch got the beet salad and pasta. The salad was good but pasta didn't have enough sauce and clumped together. The servers were friendly but very understaffed during a busy lunch hour. Service was agonizingly slow.

Had a corporate event there. Had a hard time finding the entrance. Later in the evening it's from a sliding door. Food buffet was fine. Beer was good. Where low on staff, but it didn't bother me.

Happy Hour Scam! They false advertise that they have a happy hour from 2pm. Then you ask to see the happy hour menu and it's non-existent. This place is

Had pretty great drinks and food at this upscale place in the Loop. It's actually not that expensive when considering quality. 90th Meridian is located in the historic Central Standard Building at Jackson and LaSalle and is popular for lunch weekdays. Maybe the hours could be better, but it's good for downtown workers of course. There's a good variety to choose from including Italian and Mediterranean. A bad thing about it is the hours. It's only open Tuesdays to Thursdays for lunch into the evening and closes pretty early too. The restaurants in The Loop cater to downtown workers. Even so, the hours still are pretty limited. Last time around here it was open though. It's about $15 for a cocktail. Kind of a lot it seems, but not for around here. Since this is by the old Stock Exchange, the menu has a theme. I got the Closing Bell. This was made with Aperol, lime juice, luxardo maraschino, and Mezcal. Citrusy and sweet is a good way to describe it. The food was good too. It's about $15 for an entree. There's meats such as fish, and sandwiches. A lot to choose from. I got the Falafel Wrap. Big one. This had arugula, avocado, cucumbers, harissa hummus, and radish. Good place if around here during the week at lunch. It's just limited for when it's open. There's meaty items as well as ones for vegans and vegetarians.

Imagine your favorite airport restaurant. Now imagine it actually has good food and service. That pretty much sums up the look and feel of 90th Meridian.I was a little hesitant when this place opened up across the street from my office. The building it moved into, the Central Standard Building (formerly the Continental Illinois Bank Building), had been pretty barren for a while. After an apparent change in ownership, the building was seeing a revitalization of businesses, such as the wildly-popular Naf-Naf that opened across the hall.I came here one day for lunch just to see what it's about. I was happy to see the full bar and ample seating. Our server was extremely friendly and happily recommended some of their local beers. Unfortunately, they don't list what the frequently-rotating beers are on the menu, so you have to ask every time.As for the food, it's delicious! I got the cheeseburger the first time I came, and the chicken wings the second. The fries that come with the burger are extremely addicting, reminding me of the Crack Fries at Hopcat. The wings were tasty, but a pretty small portion. My only complaint here is that the food is pretty pricey, even for the Loop.Surprisingly, the payment portion here is fun. If you are splitting a check among the table, you can do it all yourself on a handheld device the waiter gives you. This allows you to split payment by certain items and pay right there on the device.I recommend this place for the food mostly, but they also have some good daily specials (such as half priced bottles of wine). If you are in the area, give it a try!

Great spot in the financial district. There is a good group of diners throughout the restaurant, but it didn't feel crowded or loud. The food and service is great. It's a scratch kitchen and our server was super cool even when it suddenly got busier.

Checked this place out during restaurant week, and it's totally worth it! I usually like seafood pasta, but their butter squash pasta surprised me and my friends (in a good way). Our server is very nice and very tentative too. Would come back to try different dishes.

I've been going here since June and it's hands down become my go to restaurant! I've tried almost everything on the menu and I've thoroughly enjoyed each item. My favorite is either the Salmon Sandwich or the Tso Chicken Sandwich but I've heard the Banker's Burger is the best burger by far. Their happy hours have great items at great prices and a welcoming ambience. The food and staff are undeniably good so I would 100% recommend!
