I chose this restaurant because it's known to have great sushi and is very close to the Riviera. Reviews said that service is slow so I put a note on my reservation AND told the host person when being seated that we needed to finish our meal within an hour and a half. We sat for half an hour before we saw a server, but once we ordered everything and told her about the show, we got our drinks quickly and a fantastic chef's choice sashimi/sushi dinner. We had to leave some on the table to make our show, but we only regretted that because the food was so delicious. And we got to the Riv just as Jon Batiste walked into the stage.

We sat for at least 15 minutes before a server, who was unsure if he was actually our server showed up. Because of the wait, we ordered everything at one time and said to bring it out as it's ready. After another 10-15 minutes we received our salad (had a rubber/chemical like taste to it)...5 minutes later our miso soup, followed by our cocktails (yup ~30 minutes for drinks). Then the sushi came....wrong roll. Ordered the Ocean Drive and got an Original dragon....not impressed won't be back.

The place was severely understaffed for a Friday night, the servers were very nice but were simply overwhelmed by the amount of people and serve took a long time. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price.

I was very surprised by this place, it has a huge bar right at the entrance, in fact the restaurant is very large, the waitress was very attentive and the food was excellent, in addition to the decoration, everything was very beautiful.

We felt like the restaurant looked dated and our server was nice, but service was very slow. The sushi, however, was delicious. Very fresh and much better than the food at the last few local sushi restaurants we have been to. We would definitely return!

It took 25 min and asking someone that worked there to take our initial drink/food order. By 1 hour we were still waiting on our food. If it wasn't for the sake and martini we would have never stayed. Didn't seem understaffed, just employees looking busy and just walking around. Will not be going back.

Authentic! Service of your nourishment by a caring person adds to the color of the meal. The homogeneity of customers who've tasted various delicious dishes, and whose murmurings add to the harmony of the room.

Food was alright, nothing spectacular. The cocktails were good and would have liked to try more, but after our server dropped off the food, we didn't see them until we had to ask for the check, which was probably close to 45 minutes later. Looked like the servers were doing everything - hosting, bartending, running food, bussing, which explains it, but I would haaaate to be there on a busier night.

The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is friendly, and they offer a good selection of drinks. It's a great place to enjoy sushi with a nice variety of beverages.I like the tuna tataki!

A little overpriced for what you're getting, but the flavor is there. Truly deserving of the "contemporary" that they diagnose themselves with. They really need to change the playlist and finish painting their ceiling though.

I've come here a lot over the years and always gotten take out. I just went in to get some salad dressing and leave. After a HALF HOUR of waiting at the front wi try about 20 other people , I left. No one came to the front. There were basically just people roaming around the restaurant looking for an employee. They ignored everyone who asked them to be seated. I was told someone would go grab me the salad dressing 3 times. No one did anything. All good things just come to an end. I am now done with then.
