Food was pretty decent, it was a return visit. Service could have been a bit better - more professional. The restaurant knew we were coming in to celebrate a birthday and mother's day and didn't do anything for it which we were really surprised about. Considering I was also 8 1/2 months pregnant they put us at an odd table shmushed between another mother and loud toddler and the table on the other side was a couple who we basically shared a table with.

Went for Mother's Day and everyone enjoyed themselves. Food was delicious, drinks were creative, and we had the best, most attentive waitress. Great, authentic Italian food (amazing meatballs). The ambiance is gorgeous as well.

We had a lovely Mother's Day brunch. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was delish, and the space is so pretty. We ordered the kale and brussel sprout salad for the table, which was amazing. I also enjoyed the eggs in purgatory. The tableside mimosa cart was a nice celebratory touch. Will definitely be back!

Second time here. Again, we had a great time. Jo (Johanna) was our waitress. She was very nice and attentive. She made sure everything was great when the food came out. Thanks to Alla Vita for making Mother's Day a great one!

I was able to get a pretty last minute reservation at Alla Vita this weekend, which made me wonder if the hype had finally died down. Whether it has or not, I'm pleased to say that the experience has remained worth the hype. We had an excellent server who recommended good wines and menu items. We started with Fritte Miso, Olives, Roasted Octopus, and Meatballs. The meatballs were the table fave, I liked the octopus best, and we all agreed that the olives are a sneaky winner - sooo good. I had chicken Parmesan for my entree and it was delicious, and the plate came with 3 chicken cutlets, so I had leftovers. My husband got the vodka rigatoni and it was just as good as I remember!!! I seriously don't know how they make a simple dish so perfectly. We also got broccolini and roasted potatoes on the side. The broccolini was delish and the potatoes were unlike any I've ever had. I'm so glad Alla Vita has not changed in its two years!

Be warned: they'll charge you 2 nonsense fees on top of the $84 ribeye. 1) 3% "benefits" fee for "inflation and labor" then my favorite was 2) $3 fee for the "privilege" of having to figure out their QR code at the table to pay your bill and there's no printed receipt. I ended up paying over $10 last night in nonsense fees. Don't nickel and dime customers who are already dropping $100+ per person. Service was kind but inattentive. Table bread is a must order.

Food is sooo good and I love the ambiance. Very nicely designed on the inside. I had the rigatoni alla vodka and loved it. Very saucy and flavorful.

It was evident that the servers were attentive to each table and provided the best service possible. All of the food we ordered was amazing and I would definitely return to try some of the other dishes.

Immensely disappointing. The rigatoni alla vodka was bland and flavorless. It tasted like eating mashed potatoes. Agree with another reviewer who also said it was very overcooked making it mushy. I did try a bite of my friend's agnolotti del plin which was quite good. But then the tiramisu came and was atrocious. Weak. Bland. Overwhelmingly more creme than any hint of coffee. And for $16 too. I couldn't bring myself to finish dessert. Never knew that was possible before. Service was good, but be warned you pay another $1.50 to check out using the QR they provide on the table for 'convenience'.

Alla Vita has to have one of the best lunch deals in Chicago! On weekdays, you can get a 3 course lunch for only $25. I got the arancini to start that were so good! I would recommend getting them every time you are here and they have it as an appetizer for dinner as well. I got their vodka rigatoni and the vodka sauce was incredible. I was getting full as their portion sizes are pretty big even with the low lunch price, but I nearly finished the whole plate of pasta. For dessert, I got the vanilla gelato with olive oil. The dessert was amazing and the salt on top was a great touch as well!

Came to Alla Vita for a celebratory birthday lunch. The kale Caesar salad and chicken parm sandwich, while promising, were let down by the chicken's rubbery texture, which gave off big reheated vibes. On a brighter note, the eggplant sandwich was a delightful blend of flavors, perfectly complementing the creatively mixed cocktail, 'I'm Listening.' Service was fine. Overall a pleasant experience despite the rubbery chicken.

Such a fun vibe and each item we ordered was spectacular! We sat at the bar for lunch, the lunch prix fixed menu was something to try!
