Great experience while visiting Chicago over St Patty's weekend. Went with friends mid afternoon. We had reservations and luckily so because the place was packed. Ambiance is awesome. The food and drinks were top notch. I had a lamb pot pie. It came with a huge portion of bone marrow. The beef tartare was also amazing. Only pic I ended up getting while there. Still thinking about it. I hope to make it there again someday

I'm a British citizen living in Chicago, I enjoyed the food and felt like I was back at home. It was good service, but highly disappointed generally as the only space was to sit at the bar, which was very busy. My husband and myself visited the back area where the main restaurant is at separate times and was half empty. Customers were being declined and I could tell they were keen to visit the pub. This would never happen back in England, and I hope locals don't think this is the British way. I would definitely think twice before returning even at times I feel home sick!

Love this place. I had the steak and ale pie. Friends had the sticky date cake and citrus pie for dessert. I also had the lion cocktail. Look forward to returning!

Love it here! It's pretty difficult to get a reservation, so we tend to go at odd times (late lunch or super early dinner), but we have a great time every time we go. Service is excellent and warm, drinks are gorgeous, every single dish we've eaten here is delicious, but the sticky date cake is the absolute STAR. Would come back just for that.

Fantastic restaurant. We were expecting a casual neighborhood bar but walked into an upscale gastopub. Food and service (Adam was terrific) was great and the ambiance is outstanding. Very romantic, if only we had left the kids at home! Would highly recommend.

Great dining experience!!! Despite a short wait for a table, we were lucky to be seated within half an hour. The cocktails were well-crafted, though we found them a tad light; however, they offered a delightful blend of flavors, particularly the Mumbai mule. The food was delicious . We began with a refreshing mango and paneer salad, impeccably dressed. The naan bread was a standout , perfectly baked and flavorful. The oxtail pot pie was a true highlight, offering a symphony of flavors and textures that left us thoroughly satisfied. The Ora king salmon was cooked to perfection, and the curry shrimp was also a good choice. Overall, it was a memorable culinary experience that we would highly recommend. Service was excellent, friendly! Ambiance was good too.

I received a gift card for Armitage Alehouse over the holidays. Was super excited to visit.I since found out that Armitage Alehouse only accepts reservations 14 days in advance. I've checked Resy 20+ times to see if there is any open dinner reservations between normal dinner hours, 5-9, on a Wed-Sun since Christmas. No openings.I contacted Armitage Alehouse asking to book a reservation farther in advance, for a special occasion. I was told I could wait until 12:01am for spots to open on Resy. Haha. That's excellent customer service for you.A kicker? They have a reservation fee for all online reservations....reservations are required.Exclusivity is cool if earned, but in Armitage Alehouse's case, its contrived.

Wow. I was getting frustrated getting a reservation here. But boy did it pay off once I got one. Naan bread is a must and so is the pot pie. Steak from the steak frites was a little on the charred side for my liking, but still good. Samoas are amazing too. Great selection of ales - as expected.

It was my husbands 40th, I had made a reservation at north pond a month ago and week of his birthday north pond called and canceled our reservation! I was scrambling to find something, I called armitage ale house and they managed to not only find us a table on a packed night but brought us extra dessert and rose. The service was so above all expectations and their generositywas beyond our expectations. We have always loved armitage ale house but now we are life long patrons! Thank you so much for making this night so wonderful!
