This is the best yummy Mexican food place in chicago imo & my sister agrees every time she comes to visit from NYC she always orders Mixteco she says she hasn’t found as good Mexican food in NYC as Mixteco. I definetely recommend it & give it 10 stars if I could.

I have ordered from Mixteco pretty regularly for the last 8 years, which was when they were in their previous location. Sadly, over the last 3-4 years the quality continues to go downhill, along with the consistency. The last several times it’s been bad I find myself wondering why I still order from here… and it’s out of memory for the initial 6 years. There is no way I would continue to order from this place if this was my 1st or 2nd time. After about 8 bad times, it’s high time to say goodbye

This is my favorite place in Chicago to get tacos. The ratios and flavor on everything are awesome. The sauces are authentic- if you like some heat, you can find it here. The corn tortillas are perfect. No notes! Thank you

For quick fast casual Tex-Mex style food, I was very pleased. I got fajitas and every element was delicious - though the veggies and chicken were a tad oily, and well seasoned and otherwise cooked to perfection. I was easily able to make the fajitas into two meals.

If you are looking for a better alternative to Chipotle then this is for you! I hate to even compare the 2. The flavors and quality is top notch. It’s easy to navigate the menu. The prices are on point and the staff is fast & friendly. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who asked where a great place in the hood is to grab a quick, flavorful bite.I give this 5⭐️Jerry (the pigeon) gives it 5.5⭐️
