What a lovely dark place to have a drink! We went in on a whim and they were pretty full. The host made accommodations for us to have a place to have a drink. They were so lovely and accommodating and even made things extra special for us. We had a gin martini and a peach martini- both of which were wonderful. Love this place and will definitely be back.

Amazing and diverse wine selection that's very reasonably priced and the owners are extremely knowledgeable. Definitely try the Turkish wine; the owners are all very knowledgeable and fun to chat with. Great lounge vibe inside, music is good but not too loud, food is very good, we can't wait to come back and try more wine!

We came here after a movie at Landmark. Very intimate on the inside with a cool bar and small tables. The staff was extremely nice and we had some really good wine by the glass. For food, we ordered the three cheese board with port wine cheese, burrata, and manchego. The burrata definitely needed salt or something from the board to go with it but there were plenty of other snacks included which was nice. We also got the Brussels sprout hummus which was equally as good. I'd recommend they get different bread for the cheese boards but I'd definitely come back because others had cool looking cocktails as wel!

Did a quick google and Stopped in for happy hour drinks and was pleasantly surprised at how cute and lowkey sexy this place is. Dimly lit, great space with beautiful decor and comfortable lounge style seats. I had the most amazing red wine. I definitely found my new date night spot.

Ordered a Rye Old Fashioned. I didn’t see the bartender make it at first, but it tasted very odd when I got it. I asked him what he put in it, and after clarifying with the hovering manager confirmed he used Vermouth in it. Vermouth doesn’t belong in an Old Fashioned. And in the proportions used doesn’t even make a good Manhattan. He started remaking it using Jim Beam bourbon instead of an actual Rye, at which point I walked out. Hire actual bartenders or mixologists, not your buddy, and make sure they can make the most dead simple drinks. Don’t have them learn on real customers.Edit: in response to the owner’s reply: they lied and said I asked for a Manhattan when I 100% did not. I explicitly asked for a Rye Old Fashioned AND the bartender said he made me an Old Fashioned when I asked what he put in it when it tasted funny after delivery. He clearly only understood whatever Eastern European language everybody else there spoke, but he was able to confirm that he made me an Old Fashioned when I asked after the fact. I asked again what he put in it, and the hovering manager clarified the question to the bartender, and he then said Vermouth. If the owner’s reply is accurate, why then did the bartender say he made me an Old Fashioned and serve it to me in a rocks glass (a very typical glass for an Old Fashioned)? A Manhattan is served in a martini glass, not a rocks glass. AND THEN while remaking it you use Jim Beam instead of Rye like I asked? Firstly you screwed up a super basic cocktail, then didn’t understand me trying to figure out why it tasted disgusting, and then make it wrong a second time? And you try to call me out for walking out after that? Admit your mistake and don’t blame me for knowing a basic cocktail that I ordered. Hire competent staff.

One of my BEST nights in chicago! Great people like Ahmed, Mariella, and Jla created the foundation of service and atmosphere! Great location and space, cozy for talking and drinking, and I’d go anytime! There’s plenty of parking and even a parking garage across the

I came by Barrel for a mid-week date and thought it was perfect. The cheese selections and portions were good. And it was quite enough to have a conversation. I'll certainly be coming back.
