Took my mother on a recommendation and will not be back. The only positive thing we had to eat was the minestrone and bread. Our server never offered is anything other than water to drink, never mentioned items they were out of until we ordered ( said he didn’t want to embarrass himself) ??‍♀️ and it took 45 min for our food to come out after we asked three times where it was only to have the server argue with us. We were told small kitchen and the food is made fresh - it came out cold fresh it would have been hot … the pasta was over cooked or sat for while and my Veal shank tasted like it was bathed in lemon and sour paid 48.00 for all fat.The restaurant was freezing cold and very loud. If you can find somewhere else I would not go here

This is a review for the service. Not the food. The food, if you get it, is good quality. We’ve frequented this restaurant many times. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 7:35 to an almost empty restaurant (around 5 tables were taken) and got the “we only seat people with reservation”. Given that the restaurant was closing in an hour, I found it hard to believe that they had that many reservations left to seat. The restaurant business is competitive, and in this market if you run a business with this model it’s going to be challenging to survive. What a shame.

Cozy place with an authentic Italian vibe. Food was great and all homemade in house as well were told by our server. We had a party of 7 on a Friday evening and I was so shocked that by 9pm, we were the only ones in there- definitely thought that this place would have been packed all night long. I also felt that the gnocchi portion was a lot smaller than the other pasta dishes, but overall excellent place. BYOB, $10 cork fee. They also have a cute private party room that accommodates up to 45 people.

My friend and I really wanted this restaurant to serve delicious food. My friend lives on the northwest side and we're always looking for a place that has great food and reasonable prices. The fact that this is BYOB made it even more attractive. Unfortunately, the food is not very good. We ordered and shared eggplant "Polpettine", fried calamari (and zucchini), and squid ink pasta in a brandy cream sauce with what should've been lobster, but was substituted with shrimp. The eggplant balls were horrible. They were mushy and mealy. They did not taste like anything except breadcrumb, filler,. They were accompanied by a red sauce and fresh mozzarella. The red sauce was bland. We each took a bite and left the rest. The mixed fry of calamari was OK. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. We ate that. The squid ink pasta dish was very disappointing. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly but the Brandy cream sauce was thick and sticky. It was served with four shrimp and they were badly overcooked and tough. The price for the pasta dish was $34. It was supposed to be served with lobster but apparently they almost never have lobster and they haven't bothered to change their menu. They charge the same price for pasta and four shrimp that they do for the original dish with a lobster tail. It feels like a bait and switch situation. The service was very pleasant but the food wasn't. The pasta is made next door at Pasta Fresh and I would purchase the raw pasta from the store next-door. It is owned by the same people who run the restaurant apparently. We won't be back to the restaurant unfortunately.

Is it so? Could it be? A decent Italian restaurant around here? Actually, "decent" would be a major understatement, this place is amazing! My wife and I ordered a pasta dish for each of us and shared the meatballs. I'm not sure exactly what they put in the sauce, but I can tell you it's not preservatives! Which might explain why it was so amazing. The meatballs, and both the pasta dishes, the sauce really was out of this world! That should have been enough, but apparently "al dente" is in their vocabulary as well, because the pasta was cooked absolutely perfectly! As were the meatballs. I mean, you combine the two, and you have yourself one amazing meal. The chicken in my pasta was trimmed nicely, I wasn't biting into any connecting tissue, wasn't chewing any fat. The price was a little up there, but I can see how that might be necessary, given the quality and freshness of everything here.

They didn't have anything we wanted from the menu. Got the order wrong. Cute place but won't be back.

I love that there is easy, free parking right out front. Upon entering, you are greeted and seated. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but in my opinion, that makes the server a little more attentive to your needs. Once you're seated and given menus, warm, fresh bread shortly follows while you peruse the menu. Our table had the risotto with pear and shrimp, chicken vesuvio, and spaghetti and meatballs. By far, of the three, the risotto was the most amazing dish. I highly recommend giving it a try, if you don't mind all the butter (but what is a risotto without the butter?!)... the meatballs were just "OK" as was the pasta sauce. The noodles had a nice texture, so that was a plus. The chicken vesuvio was good, not amazing, but good. Would get again. Jason was our server and he was great. There was another gentleman there that was cleaning and filling waters, and he was also great. Very attentive. Our meal came out to just over $70, so not breaking the bank but not super affordable either. Overall, 4 stars.

Everything was amazing. Fresh pasta done, right. My brother and his wife. Compare it when they were in Italy. Jason is amazing so accommodating. He remembered my mom and I. Looking forward to going back soon.

Such a great place! I can't believe I lived so close for a year before trying it. Everything I've had is great from the apps to the desserts. My favorite is the squid ink pasta.

Waited for over an hour to get our food. We ended up doing takeout because of how long it took and they were going to close in 20 min. Ordered appetizers which we didn’t get at all. You would think they would at least get the appetizers within in the hour so we can at least have something other than bread and water at our table. When we got home the food wasn’t even prepared how we asked. This was our first time trying this place and it was a terrible first impression definitely not going back.

This is a quant family owned and operated Italian restaurant in an unexpected location. The menu choices are what you would expect but everything is prepared using only fresh ingredients. My two dinner guests and I ordered very different meals and all were delicious. We decided we will definitely return especially when great food is offered with a customer friendly BYOB corkage fee. Ask for Jennifer for a great experience.
