Bazaar Meat has taken our top spot for steaks, a deserving title for such a perfect restaurant.Everything was wonderful here, from the people, food, atmosphere, location (view), and temperature. I feel that things as simple as having matching plates, glasses, and utensils help build the perfect environment—an environment that is flexible for you and your occasion.Quick glance bullet points:The food is amazing, especially the Wagyu meats. The food was perfectly spaced out.The view is phonomonal.Great staff; everyone working here was very personable. Many small dish itemsThe foodFood at Bazaar Meat is mostly steakhouse style, although a few items are Spanish or have Spanish twists on them. Of course, the steaks are wonderful, both because it is a steak house and because of the price tag, but the rest of the menu is a must-try as well. The serviceAbsolutely wonderful service from runners to waiters and waitresses; everyone was wonderful and warm. Just Amazing! The atmosphereThis is where I can't give enough compliments for the work put into this restaurant. The ceiling is made of cork, mixed with the thin red shell like lights; it's simply amazing in contrasting and balancing. The custom light fixtures go perfectly with the chairs, couch, tables, plants, and dishes; everything is just right. We went to celebrate a birthday; the tasting menu said happy birthday on top while others didn't. Simple yet great touch.I would recommend you try or ask about:-Caviar conesThese are well-sized and balanced bites—a nice smooth, crunchy bite with caviar and a horseradish crème to balance the taste.-Jose's tacoI would highly recommend you try these, but first ask your waiter or waitress about what they actually are. These “tacos” are a very interesting and delicious approach to a taco, not a hard or soft shell style.-Philly cheesesteakLike the tacos, these are not a traditional Philly cheesesteak. This one is a must-try. I recommend you ask your waiter or waitress about what they are.Maine lobster bisqueThis lobster bisque has ruined all others for me; nothing has compared to this. The bisque is perfectly textured, with a large piece of lobster inside (many pieces). This was one of, if not the best, soup or barbecue I've ever had and/or my family has had.The classic tartaresDelicious tartare; recommend.Overall, I can't get enough of Jose Andres’s food, and this restaurant is surely no exception. Absolutely amazingParking: We had no problem with the valet. From Bazaar meats website: "Valet service is available Tuesday through Friday starting at 4 PM and Saturday starting at 2:30 PM. There is no valet on Sunday and Monday."

Our server was absolutely fantastic however considering the price for our meal and celebrating an occasion it was disappointing we had to wait 20 minutes for a table to be ready when arriving at our reservation time. This resulted in us rushing through dinner since we had plans after dinner.

Excelente cena, excelente ambiente, rápido el servicio, es caro pero la verdad la comida y el lugar bien lo valen, muy recomendable restaurante .... Hay que ir preparados para un ticket promedio sin tomar alcohol de 130 dlls por persona

We tried this in a whim because it was close to the opera house. We will definitely visit again when we have more time to savor and enjoy. The meat was outstanding, the drinks were really nice, and the vegetables were a surprise delight (try the carrots!). We will definitely be back.

we went for valentine’s day and were so excited to be there. our server gave us a flower arrangement so that was sweet. the menu is complicated but she helped us through it by making some great recommendations. i will say that the steak cost $140 (it was like $90 per unit but you didn’t know how large it would be). all of their steaks are aged, though, so that is unique. they have lots of japanese options as well. we LOVED their little salad bites — could have ordered two of those. the fried potatoes were also just amazing. and of course you have to get their spun olives.

Another fantastic experience at Bazaar Meat! Notes: 1) the chicken dish has changed for the positive since I last ordered it (a more substantial serving; although, I don't know when they changed that as the last time I ordered it was when they first opened) 2) the wine pours are pretty light - not only for the price, but compared to other competitors in a similar market. Addressing that would go a long way in bolstering customers' value perceptions.

This place is great for work dinners or a small party because they can customize a tasting menu to meet your budget. They accommodate dietary restrictions very well and can do substitutions. Some of guests cannot eat pork and they get specially made desserts that do not contain Gelatin.

Bazaar Meat was an incredible experience. The ambiance of the room and the views of the river were both welcoming and exciting; the staff were knowledgeable and friendly; and the food and drinks were all outstanding. The menu is a delightful combination of straightforward steakhouse, opulent tapas restaurant, and playful molecular gastronomic experience. The jasmine air negroni and liquid nitrogen frozen caipirinha were both curious and delightful. The jamon iberico de bellota and caviar cones were absolutely decadent. Also, we had a vegetarian in our party and the vegetable dishes were as good as the meat dishes - the patatas bravas, liquid mozzarella caprese, and mushrooms and cream were particularly noteworthy. Despite all the wonderful aforementioned dishes, the highlight for every meat-eater at the table was the vaca vieja, the ribeye steak of 8-10 year old holstein (dairy cow). Many steakhouses offer dry-aged beef, but few places offer such "life-aged" beef. It was funky, grassy, incredibly beefy and savory, and also perfectly cooked and seasoned with a lovely crust on the outside and plenty of pink on the inside. Also, as with dry aged meat, the cap was noticeably funkier than the eye. I can't remember the last time a steak had that much of an impact on me. Truly a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to come back.

The food was excellent, the waitress very friendly and we enjoyed it. The only (slight) annoyance was the 'brand ambassador' and another manager coming and giving us their business cards as if they were 'sales people'. But I guess it's part of their job.

Absolutely phenomenal. Menu had variety with Spanish delicacies mixed with steakhouse favorites. Tastes were perfect. Quality over quantity. They were out of cochinilla to my dismay, but the pluma and steak were amazing.

Food was awesome! Service was amazing! The manager, not so much! We had tons of points on accrued on OpenTable so we redeemed it for a $100 dining card to use it at Bazzar Meat by Andres Jose. We didn’t love Next despite the 2 Micheline stars so was skeptical if we would like another restaurant by Jose Andres. Since we think he is an amazing person and chef, we figured, we can use the OpenTable dining card to check it out. Then even if we don’t love it, it wouldn’t feel as bad. Well, the food turned out to be really good! Tasty and creative. As we made the reservation 1 day ahead, we could only get the bar seating, which was fine. We just wanted to check it out. The bartender/ waitress turned out to be amazing as well. So around, it was going great. Then at the end as we are trying to use the $100 dining card, which is in the form of a MasterCard, on my OpenTable app, things went south. When we showed the MC info from my OpenTable app, a manager, who was processing the payment, didn’t recognize it. So then she proceed to take my iPhone, fully open with access to all my personal stuff, and walks away before asking me if she can. Then she tried to run it in the system but couldn’t and comes back. So as I told her that you need to enter the information manually, she tries to walk away with my phone again so I asked her if she can take a picture of the MC then taking my phone. She says I’m a manager… didn’t know that the title gives someone freedom to take people’s smartphone while open with access to all my person stuff, including Venmo and banking, etc…. She then tells me to come by the payment system on the other end, then she tells me to enter it. So much attitude. It shows that it’s declined. So at this point, tempted to just process the payment on my credit card, decided that I’m going to call the 1-800# on the app because she’s pissing me off with her attitude. Then another person tries to help, then she notices that the manager person was trying to process the entire amount of the bill, ~$400, instead of the $100 as stated on the top of the MC information. So the new person changes the amount to $100 then it completes the processes fine. If she was giving me attitude as if I couldn’t afford the meal at Bazzar and that I NEEDED the dining card to afford it, then she seriously need to do some self reflection. That kind of judgment even if true, is so inappropriate (and frankly, that’s the vibe I got from her). We are in that situation because she wasn’t thinking the obvious… the dining card amount if for $100, why would you try to process the entire amount??? But more importantly, this dining card is literally what tipped us over to try it out. Considering the situation, someone should seriously have a discussion with her. The attitude, clearly uncalled for. And pissed me off that I wouldn’t come back. Living in the West Loop, where we can walk to all the restaurants, we tried to make an effort to check out places outside of the West Loop. I literally am redeeming dining cards, relatively frequently, because we eat out a lot. I also take my project teams out to dinner a lot. Bazzar Meat could have been a great option from the office downtown than Nobu, Oakville or Fioretta in the West Loop… this one person (who called out to me that she’s the manager), ruined it. Every human interaction should be carried out with respect for others.

Came for an anniversary dinner and happy we did. The restaurant is located on the upper level with amazing views of the city. Note the seafood sister restaurant is in the ground floor. Food and service were great. Do note this is high end “tapas style” so smaller plates. The desserts options were so lovely we tried the entire dessert board. Will surely be back.

A great experience and incredible service. Shout out to our server Claire who made our night with knowledgeable insights into dishes and drinks. The chicken was surprisingly as good as the steak. Bravo

While the food was great and the bartender/ waitress was awesome, a manager who was processing payment for our check was extremely unprofessional, rude and clearly incompetent. We had a $100 OpenTable dining card that we redeem to check out the restaurant. The bill was ~$400. She gave a total attitude about the dining card, which is in the form of MasterCard. She comes back, that the card was declined. She then has me personally enter the card info on the payment system. It declines again. Then she walks away leaving me there. Another person come over to try and help. At this point, based her the manager's attitude, I decide that I'm going to take my time to resolve this. I call the 800 number on the card. The other person notices that the payment is set up for the entire amount instead of $100. The Mastercard literally says $100 on it, along with my Amex Platinum card that I gave her to pay the remainder. So the other person updates to process $100, it goes through. Then she processes the remainder on my Amex. I walk back to my seat. I make the comment, “She's a manager and she didn't even know how to process it!”, so the bartender can hear since she was “discussing it in the corner with them”. This kind of behavior is what turns someone off from coming back and share as “story” with friends and co workers. We sat at the bar, reserved at the last minute to check it out by using the dining card. Not for a special occasion but just because we didn't feel like cooking and was tired of all the restaurants in the West Loop where we live. Word of mouth is a strong PR for a restaurant, especially for people who works with and are friends with that frequent this type of restaurants.
