I ordered two sets of double rice, barbecued pork with soy sauce chicken and barbecued pork with imperial concubine chicken. It was really a good deal at $12 a portion. The part chosen for the barbecued pork is standard plum pork, which is very good, but the taste is a little bland. The soy sauce chicken and imperial concubine chicken are very delicious, tender and flavourful. recommend! Next time I come, I plan to buy half a chicken and take it home to eat.

Please Avoid the roasted bbq pork aka char siu. It is 90% gristle. With this much fat you would think there would be flavor, wrong. As a rule, I didn’t try any other dishes. If you can’t get this right - then it’s game over. Also over priced. Don’t get fooled by the photos on the wall with the Obamas. This is a hard pass.

I came here a while back with a friend. We ordered duck and rice. It was so so. I came again for the whole roast ducks. It was still so so. Their seasoning was so so and sauce was so so.I used to eat roast ducks in St. Paul, Minnesota on University Ave, it was the best roast ducks and dipping sauce I ever had in the US.

as a huge fan of hong kong style BBQ, i was excited to try this place, and i was not let down at all! the roast duck was juicy with crispy skin, and the roast pork was succulent and had a crunchy skin as well. we also tried the beef, which was very good. i also appreciated that they served hot tea in a pot by default, as opposed to just water. i will definitely want to return to try other roast items!
Located in Chinatown Square, it’s closer to the side where Minghin and Chi Cafe are. It’s a good bbq restaurant that seldom gets busy, which can be a good thing. Most people head over to Minghin automatically but I like the taste of my roast duck here. In this picture, I actually ordered this whole plate of roast duck for myself. I was supposed to meet up with friends here and share an order, but the Chicago traffic going into Chinatown is atrocious. This plate was under $30. It tastes great with rice. I found the roast duck here to be juicy, tender, and full of flavor. They also have other kinds of dishes not related to duck on the menu. Service was quick. For parking, you can either park in the two big lots or if you go later at night you can park behind the restaurant. The lot behind the restaurant is free. Most of the time, it gets filled during the day. For the big lots, I can’t remember if they validate your ticket. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

Horrible BBQ pork, used to be juicy and flavorful, now they are chewy like expired beef jerky, and have no flavor. Won’t go back.

I love BBQ king house -- they have the best roast duck, char siu pork, and roast pork. There are always customers here so the food is very fresh. I got a somewhat big order of 3 lbs of char Siu pork and 2 whole pi pa ducks for lunar new year. It's convenient that they are open for the lunar new year, but definitely be aware that's one of the busiest days (along with Thanksgiving). I prepaid for char Siu pork and they had ran out by 1pm on Lunar New Year Eve, but it worked out since I was able to pick it up on the Lunar New Year.
