Gosh do we miss the old Bijans. We would go there 3-4 times a week. Loved the menu, the atmo and staff. The place was ALWAYS BUSY. We wish they'd bring back the old menu. The bolognese spaghetti, the meatloaf, the bananas foster. How about happy hour! No clue how the new Bijans is going to make it. No matter when we walk by, the place is practically empty. The books don't lie. Management must be disappointed in revenue. We half expect to walk by one of the days and see windows papered over and "closed" signs.

Visited for their "Buy a drink and get $1 chicken sandwich" deal and was impressed. Loved the decor, the service was quick and attentive, and the chicken sandwich was pretty tasty. I plan to return for brunch as the couple beside us looked like regulars and their food looked amazing! I came early and it was starting to get packed but not extremely noisy, definitely a plus!

So much better after the remodel! The service was so friendly and attentive. The food was very good. The atmosphere is so cute now. I had no clue when walking in how different it would be from the old Bijans. Will definitely be back.

We loved our experience today at Bijans and VERY different from the old Bijans. We live on the block and had no idea how different the menu, decor, and vibe would be. I wish they would promote this better so people in river north knew what a nice option this is for the neighborhood. It fills a spot/category that has been missing. It is similar to the new Gemini on the street but wish Bijans the best of luck and please promote your space more!

I wanted to try the new Bijan's because I loved the original, had a horrific experience after it was sold the first time and want the new owners to succeed and give us the neighborhood experience once again. First, they were supper accommodating to us enlarging our table count just a few hours before our reservation on a Friday night. Second, the service was really friendly and did a great job considering the place was packed. And finally the food was good and affordable as I was hosting a business dinner. There is room for improvement on the menu but I also get what it's like opening a new restaurant and trying to keep the menu tight enough to actually make money. Hopefully they'll be able expand it slightly in the future. A little more creative with flavors as well. All in all a really good experience and I'll be back to support them again.

Found this place randomly and I guess God guided my steps because it is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Everything was amazing from the shishto peppers to the waygu burger and the grilled chicken thigh burger. Chef's kiss to everything.

I had the classic cheeseburger with fries and a margarita. The service and the food were both really good! I wanted a quick bite to eat and that's exactly what I got. I will definitely be back. The menu is a bit limited in my opinion. I do wish they added a bit more fries as a side to the plate.

The reviews were very mixed but I had a nice evening and meal here! We came on a Saturday night fairly early before an orchestra show, it was quite empty and we got seated immediately. I was tickled by the bird decor, so funny but not obnoxious. We had two of the chicken sandwiches, one spicier and both were solid, not what would bring me back but very acceptable. What would bring me back you ask? THE FRIES. I don't even like fries most of the time (unless crinkle cut) but these were AMAZING. Sort of like a think peel off a potato and deep fried. Not skins. And a thicker slice than my potato peeler at home would give me. So idk how they do it but I am getting hungry just remembering these. Also the burrata salad was great, lots of interesting ingredients and a good portion. I guess this will be my go to when I need fries and a salad OR have a bird obsessed friend visiting.

We enjoyed the Corn appetizer (outstanding but small), The Gentleman burger (2), Steak Sandwich, and Steak Frites. All were delicious though the steak on the sandwich was fatty. Our silverware was cleared after the appetizer but not replaced until we asked. The service overall was ok but not exceptional, which was surprising considering there were only 4 or 5 tables occupied during our visit. We were told our table of five meant that a 20% gratuity was automatic, but that "policy" wasn't on the website or communicated beforehand. I also note that only exceptional reviews are on the website so I'll be interested to see if mine is included.

Possibly the worst meal I’ve had in Chicago. I wanted to give this place a chance after seeing it on TikTok but this place ain’t it. In looking at the menu I didn’t see anything that I even liked but decided to try it out. I wasted $82 on an appetizer (Tuna), entree (branzino) and a drink. Nothing was good. Presentation was terrible and unfortunately I have nothing nice to say about this place.Go elsewhere. We should’ve after seeing the place was empty when we got there on a Saturday night.

First time here came after viewing photos of the food. I will say I was a bit disappointed. I found that they no longer have a lot of the food items that I saw in the photos. I got some hot wings with fries. I was very happy with the cook of the wings, I requested extra crispy & got just that! The fries were soooo good too! Sadly, these wings were not hot at all. The sauce that was drizzled on them was not any kind of buffalo sauce. The chicken themselves were not spicy in any way. The sauce that was drizzled on top was....different. It was a sweet green & brown sauce with a unique taste for sure. I didn't care for it *shrugs* My friend ordered a cheeseburger & she was happy with it. I think if I were to come back, I would get the wings again but forego the sauce. $18 for wings is a bit much tho.

My husband and I went for the first time Sunday night and we had such good food, good service and great atmosphere. We enjoyed the roasted cauliflower and Regal burger. Both had excellent flavors. Everyone who worked at the restaurant that night was so friendly and it made the dining experience. Thank you!
