Made reservations for a birthday brunch this past Saturday. When we showed up, the doors were chained and the restaurant was shut down. Luckily, Bar Cargo next door was available and they said this happens all the time. The restaurant hasn't made it clear that they are closed and people are still able to make reservations. Horrible business.

I rarely write bad reviews and I loved The Diver, however my fiancé and I went in there today and it was empty maybe 3 tables inside and 2 outside. We sat in there for over 15 minutes and not even a glass of water was offered to us. How much longer until we would have been served. We also waited to be seated it wasn’t like we just sat ourselves. Such a shame.

Had reservations for 4 pm. Door is locked. I looked in and someone is telling me no. They didn’t come to the door or anything. Just waved me off. Very unprofessional.

From the cocktails to the barbecue, this is my new favorite place in River North. As someone who lived in STL, I know barbecue and this competes.

Had a reservation and upon walking in the music was so insanely loud, I had to almost yell to to say my name to the host/worker-It was pretty empty, no one outside and maybe an 8 top inside and a person at the bar-However the table of 8 was so loud it sounded like 20 people, screaming and yelling-We did not want to be inside with blaring music and screaming people so we thought about sitting outside but we just decided to leave-Not a great vibe and no need to have music blaring that loud + screaming people-There was no way we would have been able to talk with the noise inside, plus it was just annoying-

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED!!!HAD RESERVATIONS FOR A BIRTHDAY AND EVEN GOT A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE FOR THE RESERVATION, SHOW UP AND THERE ARE CHAINS ON THE DOOR!! So embarrassing! The restaurant next door was nice enough to accommodate our party with extending their bottomless mimosas as we arrived at its end

We’ve gone to this place when it was the diver & enjoyed that experience. We went again today & the service & atmosphere was not the same. The server came up to us & said “hi, how can I help you” no introduction at all! I didn’t know I was at a drive thru. I asked about their brunch & he shot my question down by saying “it’s 330 brunch is over”. I was like ok! Is happy hour still happy happening from 3-7? He shot that down again & said nope. No alternatives or specials were mentioned. We were sat before 330 & we were patiently waiting for our server to attend us. There is nothing on the menu that specified what days for what specials. If your servers are going to be unwelcoming at least put the information in the menu so they’re not annoyed by our questions! Don’t waste your time at this place.

I was so excited to see a Southern themed restaurant and bar open up nearby, so went to check it out this week finally. We ordered the Peach Punch and Margaritas for drinks and the Carnivore Platter to share between 2 people. The Platter definitely has great portions and we had enough leftovers to bring home. The corn was delicious and cut into small pieces which made it easier to eat. Since we went during a Vikings game, they brought us this tasty purple drink with the challenge to drink it all in one go, the experience of it all was fun. I definitely recommend the Peach Punch, it was a light and yummy version of a sangria. We sat outside on the patio because the music was a little too loud inside. It took a while to get the entree but the servers were super kind and they were really busy due to the game day crowd.

Don’t miss it! We had the pulled pork they were out of Brisket but let me tell you 10/10! Drinks were good we were there on Friday night don’t remember our servers name but she was awesome! We came in from Florida and I told myself the last thing I wanted to do is go to a country themed bar estaurant because we have plenty of those here but I am so glad we went and will definitely be back!

Service was outstanding! When we arrived we were given a high-top and asked for a standard table which was not available. We sat at the high-top and bout 5 minutes later he came back and moved us to a booth. Throughout our time there he repeatedly checked in on us and other tables. The servers as well were very friendly and engaging. Ambience: It's a small space and VERY loud! The restaurant was full of patrons and they also have a nice outdoor seating area. Food: We started with the guac and the fried pickles. Both were very good. The chips with the guac were warm which was a nice touch. The fried pickles were slices, not pickle-chips which was a surprise ... a pleasant surprise. We ordered the Carnivore Platter as a main to share. The host came over and apologized that they were out of brisket (at 7PM!) and offered to up the pulled pork and add Spicy Corn Ribs (Spoiler alert: It's grilled, seasoned corn ... no meat or bone )The corn was actually our favorite part of the platter. The meats were lukewarm at best and dry. The cornbread needed some type of spread/butter but that was not to be. The red beans were bland. The portion size was more than adequate for the two of us. Drinks: I don't know why but I expected a larger cocktail menu. I ordered 2 margaritas which were ... okay. I want this place to succeed and I will give it another try as I want to try the brisket and some of the other sides.
