The margaritas were too lime forward and lackluster, and we tried a spread of several appetizers including the queso (which tasted a lot like goat cheese) and tacos neither of which were worth getting again. Server was kind.
Great food and drinks. Everything came out fast and the waiter was very sweet. My only complaint was that we had to constantly ask for silverware throughout the night because the table we were seated at didn't have any plates, etc.

Food was delicious and service was great! I highly recommend making a reservation, because it packs quickly. We did the 12-taco combo and enjoyed trying a bunch of different kinds of tacos. My favorites were the camarone, cod, and al pastor de pollo!

This place is great to go to with girlfriends on a Friday or Saturday night or even a date. The walls are filled with colorful art and unique decor. The menu itself has a nice selection for everyone dietary preferences and the service is quick. I thought overall the tacos tasted just okay and my sangria was watery, but the vibes of the place and service would convince me to go back.

Drink were okay, the margaritas were not strong at all. More on the sugar than the tequila. The elote was dispoointing. It was old corn. I should've complained but I didn't want to ruin the vibe. The tacos were good. Everything was Overpriced, expected by its location. Service was great. Our server was attentive and kind.

Had a good time here at Broken English Taco Pub in Old Town! I went to their Lincoln Park location (now closed) a while ago and was kind of iffy about it, but my experience here was definitely better. The ambiance is awesome - there's colorful art painted all over the ceiling and in general has super fun decor. Even the walls outside of the building are painted colorfully, it definitely catches your attention. The service was great too - our server and host were all very friendly. No complaints at all. We got bottomless mimosas (which theirs are mango) - they were sweet and only $15 which is insane. There's a 2-hour limit on it which was more than enough. The chips and salsa were okay; the salsa comes in 2 tiny cups that easily can be eaten by 1 person. I had the carne asada tacos - for 2 tacos, it was $9. It's an affordable restaurant in general and I might just be used to local taquerias, but $9 for 2 tacos seems like a bit much. The tacos were good and standard, nothing I haven't had before. My friend said the same about her fried chicken tacos. My other friend liked her quesadilla as well. Overall, I'd come here again!

The highlight of our day was talking to Moody while waiting for our table. He was professional, funny and kind even on the busiest day of the year in Chicago. Tacos and guacamole were good, there were some vegetarian and vegan options as well. Will be back if we find ourselves in old town again!!
