I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and it’s hard to find one that makes the food just right! The fried beans were one of the best in the city and the flautas were cooked perfectly. The place is small but cozy and the service was excellent. If I am in the area this is my spot of MX food.

Viva buena vista!! Best hispanic food in Lakeview, hands down! Atmosphere is intimate and immersive, service is personal and outstanding, food so good you may not have to fly all the way to Mexico to have your slice of paradise

Such a great neighborhood spot for quality Mexican food, I’ve never been disappointed. The nachos are a must, every single chip has every ingredient in the nachos, it’s incredible!

Incredible how much food you can get for about $11. I got lunch there at 2 PM after having skipped breakfast, and still couldn't finish.

The service was amazing. The food was clean and fresh. The portions and price are also reasonable. Don't miss out on the tres leches and sopapillas for dessert
This place screams home and a warm meal. Got the enchiladas mix with green, mole and tomato sauces (green’s always my favorite) with a hearty serving of rice and beans. Not sure if this is family run but my server was the sweetest kindest lady. This is a place I would go to on a gloomy rainy day for some warm fuzzy food.

Chicago Bae Reviews
Is trying to eat at all the Mexican places in Chicago doable? I think it’s a hard thing to complete. So let me get into it!The food at Buena Vista Restaurant was surprisingly good! My friend and I got the nachos as I have to say it’s was great. The temperature and the freshness of the dish made you want to have another plate of it. I got the three taco dinner and I was happy that I got that since I normally get it at other places. The services was as expected as it is a small finally owned business so we had to be patient which isn’t a problem for me at all. The atmosphere was like you were back in time. It’s refreshing since not many places are like that. I like retro places and to me it felt like back in the day. Overall, I will say give BVR a try if you want authentic food with a charming wait staff.
