We had a fantastic experience at Q on Dearborn! Johnny was our server and he was excellent! We enjoyed $5 happy hour old fashions that were so good! The food was excellent! Bbq ribs, burnt ends on a black bean, corn, tomato salad. Yum! Great atmosphere sitting on the outside patio. Would highly recommend!

We were looking for a BBQ place that we had not been to before and came across q.I went in with low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised about the food and ambiance. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive too, which made this an overall great dining experience. As a free little starter, the waiter brought out some yummy sweet dill pickles and a bowl of chips. I really enjoyed the pickles, they were fantastic. As a meal my wife and I shared the Q2 Combo with the half chicken and the brisket ($4 upcharge but well worth it). As a side we chose the coleslaw. My wife is a big cornbread fan, so we added the honey cornbread too.I have to say, the smoked half chicken was the best half chicken I've ever had, and I had many many chickens in my life before. The meat was flavorful, juicy and literally fall-off-the-bone. It was delicious! The brisket was also tender, flavorful and not fatty, it was excellent. The coleslaw was a very big portion and also very delicious. I didn't try the cornbread, but my wife liked it a lot.Overall this was an excellent find and it was also nice to walk out of there with a $50 bill plus tip, not necessarily common for a nice suit down restaurant in downtown Chicago. One negative, 3% credit card fee. If you have read my reviews before, I hate this extra money making scheme that is finding its way more and more into the restaurant industry. Restaurants have baked in the credit card fees for decades, now they are adding it on top of the "baked in" fees.P.S. Sorry, no photos this time.

We went to try one of their famous Ribs. The ribs tasted amazing but we couldn’t enjoy it because of the service we received. Rude server who didn’t care about taking our order, tried to take our plates before we were done with our meal and staring at us like we did something wrong by just being there. I don’t know what that was about.

I got the chicken and ribs… and honestly, this is the worst BBQ I’ve had. The chicken and ribs were bland - with the sauce, average at best. The fries were salty and the service wasn’t great. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. There’s better BBQ and service else where.

This was a fantastic bbq restaurant in what looks like an old house. Plenty of space inside and out if the weather is nice. Two of us enjoyed the pit boss platter which was not too much food. Definitely a place to stop in and eat, you won't leave hungry!

We made same day reservations for a group of 14 and they were able to accommodate us. The food was great (big portions). The service was also fantastic. The ambiance was also stellar. The establishment is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend you check them out.

Service was not motivated, long time waiting to order. Spare ribs were mediocre- I definitely had better!

Love this place! The ribs (both baby back and Carolina) are phenomenal. Always cooked perfectly with the best char on the outside - so delicious. The pulled chicken is really nice too with a subtle smoke. I love how their meats are prepared dry. I hate when bbq restaurants slather way too much sauce on amazing meat. Q allows you to decide and sends three delicious sauces to the table. My go to is the Q2 platter (chicken & ribs) Service is always really attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is charming. We love Q!!!

What a great time spent at "q" on Sunday. Our waiter Brian was welcoming from the moment we were seated at our booth. Ready to guide us through their interesting menu and Specials of the Day. The choices were numerous and inviting. The poached eggs were perfect on all of our dishes. They started us off with their famous pickle chips and thin crispy potato chips, both made in their own kitchen. See below our main choices and our desserts + Pulled Pork eggs Benedict. Thank you q for a wonderful dinning experience. ?? Generous portions that allows for taking home which was excellent the next day.

Treated ourselves with Old Fashions and carrot cake on Saturday night…highly recommend! Food and drink only surpassed by our service by Erick. He makes a mean old fashion and provides the best service. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had blackened seafood special which was Mahi Mahi. It was only ok because it seemed dried out and not moist, like it had been prepared previously and zapped in the microwave. My wife had the baby back ribs which were good. We opened with fried green tomatoes and chicken wings which were good. We ordered a grey goose cosmo but were told they were out of grey goose which was surprising considering their well stocked bar of brown liquor. We have been here before but thought the experience was not as before.

We had been to Chicago Q two other times and were really disappointed in tonight's dinner. In the past the place was packed tonight only a few guest in the building. Really disappointed in the quality of the main courses. My wife got the Baby Back Ribs and I received the Brisket. My meal was ok but was described as prime and didn't see any difference in quality of meat to that of any other rib joint, but my wife's Ribs tasted as though they were old and just microwaved. The ends were hard and the rest of the meat was warm at best. The service was just missing other than to take our orders but had to flag down another server to get our bill. Disappointed that a favorite place of ours that we had always raved about has gone down in quality and service.
