In a neighborhood that could use a good pub/bar/restaurant, this place fills multiple needs. Good pub food, friendly staff, large bar area to sit, and sizable tables and booths for large parties or families. This is a good place to watch sports and have a burger or BBQ.

I like this place but I never go when I'm in a hurry or really hungry. The service is slow. The waitstaff could be more attentive and talk about the daily specials, which aren't really posted anywhere. Seating is a mix of free for all or waitstaff guided. Which can be tough when you first get there as theres no signs posted. Sometimes you're told to seat yourself, sometimes asked to wait. Lots of tvs with sports playing and fun sport related events. Food is good, I really like the corn chowder and chicken sandwiches. The bbq is ok, nothing amazing but definitely worth trying.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu

The food was delicious. I had the rack of ribs and they were great. The jalapeño cheese sauce was a really good dip for the fries. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food. The service was great. Our server Colleen did an amazing job accommodating our needs in such a busy establishment. The atmosphere was fun. They had trivia night while we were there and you could tell it was a pretty big deal amongst the locals. The guy running the trivia was a star! His personality is great for it. This is definitely a place where the local people go which made it even better. We were even blessed with a Will Perdue citing. He is in one of the pics sitting with his family. It doesn’t get much more Chicago than that. Go Bulls! I would definitely come back to City’s Edge!

Had the Edge Burger with a side of fries to go. Overall pretty decent but the patty was basic and not super flavorful, and the "blue" cheese (that's how it's spelled on their menu) was not what I was expecting in terms of flavor and quality. Their fries were good though, not too greasy. Overall not bad but nothing to write home about. Their BBQ items are probably much tastier as that's what they are more known for.

Attended a private party here. Very nice atmosphere and an amazing aroma of smoked meats when you walk in the door. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the delicious pulled pork and fantastic mac and cheese. We'll be back for sure!

Very kid friendly with good BBQ. I had the full slab of baby back ribs, the fresh cut fries were awesome, but the coleslaw with little flavor. Brisket egg rolls were crunchy and filling all brisket. Cheese curds were good. Brussels sprouts were tasty. Service was lackluster and slow. Good selection of beers, wine, and signature cocktails. Décor rustic and bathroom was clean.

My family was looking for a new go-to restaurant after a different favorite of ours closed down. I wanted to find a place that had good beer, good cocktails, good food (BBQ, specifically!), good service, and a good vibe. Oh, and good prices, too! It turns out we found ALL of these things at City's Edge! In fact, I'd say it's all great, and not just good. The brisket sandwich is delicious and generous. Their cocktails definitely have alcohol in them. The Guinness is poured perfectly. I think all of these reasons and more are why we've been there 5 or 6 times in the last 6 weeks. We've also brought my parents and my in-laws. Suffice to say, we think it deserves 5 stars. Check it out!
