Coco Pazzo is old school in a way I haven’t experienced for a long time. We (a party of six) were greeted by a slightly frosty Maitre D, but then once seated, our waiter, Max was a consummate pro. The food… Sadly we were on a budget and this is not a cheap place, but if I’d had the chance I’d have tried everything on the menu. Good Italian food looks deceptively simple but the thing is, it has nothing to hide behind. I had Spaghetti alla Vongole. It was the best I’ve ever had by a mile. Every element was pitch perfect! Service was cheerful and warm (unlike the Maitre D). The breads were superb too, as were the homemade crackers that came with the cheese plate… its details like this that separates the mediocre from the exceptional.

I think this is the best restaurant in River North. The owner has been there every time we've been there and I think that makes a real difference. The food is amazing, great service and great ambiance. We love Coco Pazzo!

I've been to Coco Pazzo several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is attentive, the food is amazing, the menu options are great, and the price points are reasonable. We will be back!

Coco Pazzo was always one of our favorite restaurants for s lovely night out. We moved away from Chicago about ten years ago and returned recently, dining at Coco Pazzo on a rainy Chicago night. It has not lost any of its luster. The ambiance was familiar but fresh. The service (thank you, Gianni and Co.) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable, a balance not always attainable. And the food was spectacular, from the focaccia, to the amuse, to the carpaccio through to the branzino and sea bass special. The branzino was delicious, deboned tableside, with wonderful textures and flavors. The seabass was equally good and somewhat heartier. The Sizilian wine we chose worked well. Desert was a chocolate fondant which topped off the meal brilliantly. We look forward to dining there again soon.

A fine dining experience at a wonderful italian restaurant. I've been a patron for over 20 years and no trip to Chicago is complete without a delicious meal at Coco Pazo. Wonderful selection of wine and cocktails, delicious appetizers, fresh pasta dishes, and entrees prepared with care and meticulous attention to detail. End your meal with a cappuccino, aperitif, and dessert...heaven. Just go, reservations required.

Worst restaurant experience in a very long time. Not the server's problem when they're given too many seats to serve. Poor management for creating the problem, not recognizing a problem and when made aware of the problem not offering a solution. This is a poor management issue! Reservation for 7:30, promptly seated and we waited and waited, finally ordered drinks they too a little while to arrive and then waited 35 minutes to have our order taken only to be told by the server for the third time that he'd be back to take our order. No thanks, please bring the check. We paid, left the restaurant and walked a block to a wonderful restaurant and had an excellent experience. I understand an off night, I get you're busy, I have the patience to understand sometimes things don't always go the way they should. What I don't understand is how management can't recognize an issue (it wasn't just our table) and step up to problem solve the issue. Do yourself a favor and skip Coco Pazzo there are literally 100's of other restaurants options to choose.

Coco Pazzo is a great location for a business dinner. Widely separated tables afford the opportunity for discreet conversations. The food and wine offerings are innovative and meet the most discriminating tastes.

Hello! I have reserved a table at Coco Pazzo for (2) business meals and a 3rd tonight. Each time the client was very happy with the experience. Reliable, ambiant atmosphere. Food is wonderful, staff and service excellent. Will continue to keep Coco Pazzo as a go-to restaurant for client entertainment. Thank you!

We have been dining at Coco Pazzo for more than 20 years, and have always enjoyed dining with them. The menu and specials are varied offer "something for everyone." The ingredients are of the highest quality, even for a "white table" restaurant. The preparation of each dish is outstanding. Every course is served promptly and at the right temperature. The service is always excellent without being intrusive. The wine list is extensive, and the wines by the glass are of high quality and compliment the menu. We have been dining in Chicago for more than 50 years, and we regard Coco Pazzo as the best restaurant in the city.

Amazing food once again. Went here for the first time in 1994 and the quality is still amazing. I had the scaloppini di vitello and it was amazing. My wife and daughter both had pasta dishes and loved every bite. Staff is very attentive. Look forward to future visits.
