I got some insider information that this is one of the better dim sum places, and it did not disappoint! I was part of a larger group (7 people) so we actually got a private room which was super nice. The only reservation system is a little weird (only Monday-Thursday available to reserve online), but I just called a couple days in advance and that worked out. Dolo has a nice selection of dim sum options, especially congee. There were so many unique ones to choose from! The preserved egg congee was great, and you can't really go wrong with any of the dim sum. We ordered a couple vegetable dishes which were also great (not too oily/salty). Compared to other dim sum restaurants, I think Dolo leaned toward having less salty in general, which I loved. Would highly recommend!

The service was pretty good in the past. Nowadays, except when serving food, you can see the waiters. The rest of the time, they basically don’t come.

Stopped to have lunch here at the recommendation of our local friend. Absolutely delicious and worth it. They have an excellent dim sum selection as well as plenty of main dishes. The hot custard filled buns -!: pork scallion buns were my favorite and by far were packed with lots of flavor. The service was a little mysterious as it was our first time here, we weren't really sure if we should pay at the counter or if the server would come, we ended up approaching the counter after some time. There is a small parking lot available for dinners which is rare for the city. The interior is a nice sized dining room and you can see the fresh fish tanks with plenty of delicious fish and crustaceans waiting to be eaten! It's clear it's a local favorite S there are some signs of wear and tear, but we could see why! Super delicious indeed!

Unprofessional. I don’t have a problem with language barriers but service is not up to par with all the other reviews. Brought my little family to experience and to try the food. Hostess sat us down right away because there was plenty of open tables. Waited 30+ mins to get half filled cups of water and 2 soda. We waited a little longer and no one came to serve us. We ended up leaving and leaving money on the table for our drinks. There were staff walking around and serving others that were served already but no one looked our way or even bothered to stop at our table. There’s no point in dining here if the business doesn’t bother to serve the incoming customers. Very disappointed, we were atleast hoping their food would make up for the horrible service.

I had to constantly ask for things that at other dim sum places would have already been provided for at the table, like the condiments/sauces. Some of their items didn't look like the photos at all. And some of the items didn't have the ingredients that were displayed in the photo/menu either. Congress was bland. But the rice noodle and egg tart were fresh and delicious. They did have a lot more variety than other dim sum places in Chicago. But just be advised, ask for hot sauce/Sriracha, Plum sauce, soy sauce, hoisin, chili oil, and their other soy? sweet sauce on the side too. They forgot to give us our ribs as well but definitely charged us for it, so we waited for that in the end.All in all, I will go back there just to try out some other dishes... but it was a bit pricey and the sauce thing and ingredient thing was a disappointment.

Well-priced dim sum spot in Chinatown that serves dim sum all day. They have all the traditional dishes but their siu mai is probably one of their best dishes, a perfect blend of shrimp and pork. They also have a lot of options for main or side dishes that one can order as well from a separate menu. They serve chrysanthemum tea.Service is fast and the servers speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, although one can order by marking the menu

me and my girlfriend been there today. foods are good, except “steam pork shrimp and clam dumplings”. the pork were raw af and eliminates all of our appetites.raw pork are closely related with streptococcus, which is a very deadly bacteria (which is the reason why we seldom eat medium rare pork steak). gladly my girlfriend was still okie, but she still got diarrhea.what made me truly angry and disappointed was how the restaurant dealt with it. the waitress did NOT apologize at all, but only claims fault on the “new chef”. finally they swap another dish for us, but we still pay for the dish. we thought at least they should pick one option from “simply apologizing” or “covering the terrible dish”.
