great food, great service and we had the best waitresses and bartenders. Everyone is so attentive and the food never disappoints. Sad to see them leave this location but happy to know they will be in oak brook innOctober. will definitely be there for the opening!!!

The best bar & happy hour with the friendliest & efficient bartenders —Matt & Margot !!! Great ambience & music !!! I always make friends here. So very sad to see them close —shame on the property owners for forcing them out by raising the rent & robbing the city of a long time favorite bar & restaurant —way to be Greedy !

Such a cool restaurant. Food is excellent and our server Sarah was amazing. Sarah (different person) the manager is so amazing as well. The team at this restaurant is so strong and clearly passionate about hospitality. Our group had an amazing experience. Thank you Eddie

Where do I begin? WHEW!!! Amazing! This restaurant was a find on a trip to Chicago for my wife’s birthday. It is walking distance from the main hotels, shopping, and attractions. When we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely nice host. We were shown to our seat and were treated great the entire time. Our host broke the menu down for us and explained his likes about the menu. The steak was so tender and juicy. The lobster AMAZING. My wife got the salmon and loved it as well. Crab cake was the appetizer and I wish we could have had it for a meal because it was in the top 3 best I’ve ever had. Our host pointed us out a great bottle of champagne that complemented the food amazingly. To top everything off, they brought out a special birthday dessert that as you can see in the video that had a little fire display with it as well. I do not think I could find one complaint about this restaurant if I tried. Even the restrooms were spotless. Our waiter saw us taking pictures of ourselves, and even had became our personal photographer while at the table lol! It was a very appreciative gesture. One of the main reasons that we selected this restaurant was because of the high reviews on Google and other platforms. The reviews did not disappoint. Whether you live in Chicago or you’re just visiting, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. If you’re looking for something a little bit more upscale and fine dining, the price isn’t cheap, however, it’s extremely worth it, and the experience there is priceless. It’s so good in fact we may just come back one day soon just to come eat and go back home all the way to Louisville KY!

The experience was exceptional! The food was so delicious & fresh. I hate that it is closing. We had a 4:15pm reservation and were seated with water by 4:10pm. Our server Rosa was absolutely fantastic and made the dining experience one to remember. All of our food was hot, delicious and exactly to our liking and how we ordered it! My pomegranate Lemondrop was the bomb as well! To the entire management team and serving team, thank you for serving & feeding Chicago for all these years. May of your new journeys bring fourth great fortune & opportunities. If I could I would dine here a million more times. The pricing and ambiance is top notch!

The crab cake, crab fried rice, lamb chops, and steak was amazing. I didn't care for the Cesar salad because of the dressing. I hate that they are closing because I would return for sure. My mother and I truly enjoyed our experience.

Tyler was absolutely delightful! Attentive, friendly, gave superb recommendations and was very polite. Food was extraordinary and drinks were fantastic. We were seated quickly by a young lady that was very kind and kept a smile on our entire encounter.

I've been here plenty of times and usually order the same thing. My filet Oscar style was not nearly as flavorful and fresh as before. I presume it's because the is location is closing and that's unfortunate.

Eddie V's in Chicago is always a great experience. Most of the time I sit at the bar and Margaret and Alejandro are the best. I love that when I go there now the bartender Alejandro already knows my favorite drinks. When they had new drinks he always explained the changes and his recommendations based on what I like.. excellent work :). I really recommend going there..excellent drinks/food and service.

One of our favorite Steak and Seafood places in Chicago. Unfortunately, we found out that this location is closing mid-January 2024. The next Chicago area location planned is in Oakbrook in late 2024 or early 2025. The food and service here is phenomenal. It's quiet and tables are well spaced. The clientele is always very diverse. The dress code is business casual or resort eveningwear but I did see some diners pushing the dress code a bit.Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate a dairy-free dietary restriction easily.

The experience was great as always. The host team worked together to accommodated us in the lounge area even after I made the mistake of booking bar seating. Amber our server was top notch. We sat next to the live entertainment for the evening which made it that much more specials. Love dining at Eddie V's!

We are so disappointed that they're going out of business at their Chicago location. This is our favorite restaurant. Brian Ivory, the manager, is so warm and welcoming. We ask for Erica every time we dine here. She is so kind and sweet. The crab cakes are by far the best we've ever had. I love the lamb chops and my wife loves the stuffed shrimp. The crab fried rice is to die for. We will miss the live music in the lounge. We have one more reservation the night before they close. I guess we'll have to go to Oakbrook in the future.

The service was lovely, but unfortunately my Ahi was dreadful. It was so salty – the rub was salty, and then it was laid on the bed of chili sauce that was again bitter from heavy salt - served with a side a soy??? I have eaten literally hundreds of variations on ahi tuna, but this was sadly inedible. I had been looking forward to this special night out, but it was truly disappointing. Crabcake and steak were good but it is hard to walk away feeling good about a $250 dinner when you can't get through your entrée. Again, the staff were wonderful!

Lovely place with live music. I didn't know but the place has a dress code, so you should dress well. The food its very good, with the flavours of USA, well presented. The atmosphere was amazing.

We stopped by Eddie V's this past Sunday to enjoy Happy hour before we heades to see The Wiz pre-broadway. This is only my 2nd time going to Eddie's & both times I've specifically came for the Happy Hour. I was very shocked & alittle sad when i found out they'll be closing their doors next month on Jan 19th?Hopefully I'll be able to make it back to try the dinner menu. But I'd highly recommend trying the HH menu. The crab cake is 1 of the best I've ever had. The drinks are on point also.I wasn't a huge fan of the fries, as they didn’t really taste like a truffle fry usually does. My bf didnt care for the filet bites either.I tried the cosmo & a vodka martini w/ vermouth. I didnt care for the cosmo but didn’t have time to try any of the other drinks. My bf tried the Bulliet & that was pretty good.I love the live music performer that was present. She had an Adelle spice about her & her voice was beautiful. This is definitely a nice spot for a post work wind down! Make sure you check them out before their last day!
