Great place for that Chinatown feel ESPECIALLY during the lunar new year parade! Fun times tho during regular days and hours they'll be out of food alot

Great food, great service, great price, great quality, honestly it's a really good place. It's my favorite Chinese bakery in Chicago. It has breakfast, brunch, snacks and only takeout and most items don't contain meats or nuts. Also it opens early and closes late.

It was a very great place, it was clean, pretty great decor. It also had a dine in and cold drinks. The food was clean, cheap, good quality, and it was absolutely delicious. There was so many desserts and pastries, not too many choices that it’s overwhelming. GREAT price, $5 and you can buy a lot of tasty things with great quality and taste. Authentic chinese pastries and desserts. I can’t recommend enough for you to go there. They also had great service. BY THE WAY THEY only accept cash. It is also very traditional and nothing too thrilling.

Great bakery goods! We got custard and fruit tarts. Can't wait to dig in. One note: cash only. No checks, credit cards, or debit cards.

Non descript storefront and equally no frills counter belying a trove of traditional chinese pastry delight freshly baked. Ordered a couple of sweet buns and flaky filled small bites with lotus and red bean paste and was pleasantly surprised with the soft and flavorful buns and crisp, flaky pastry encasing a generous filling with just about right sweetness and fine texture. Surprisingly inexpensive given each pastry is manually prepared.

The worst bakery!I bought a cake, very next day the cake became moldy, and they rejected to replace one. Garbage bakery! They sell moldy cakes! Be careful!

This bakery is so good that it's well worth the at times grumpy attitudes of the staff. This place is pure quality and they don't need to sweeten the deal. Winter melon cake is amazing at this place and I don't think they've raised their prices at all

This is the best bakery in Chicago Chinatown! I know there are a ton and some that have a whole lot more hype, but this place is a gem.I've gone here my whole life and it's has the best buns hands down. They are fluffy, yet crispy and the inside is always flavorful no matter which kind to get.Anytime I'm in Chicago I come here and by ham and egg buns...they are phenomenal. There is not other place that makes them as good and like this place.Note it is cash only and sometimes they can be rude mainly because of them trying to turn people as quickly as possible.

Pretty good pastries and pretty good price. Loved the place. Bring cash as that is all they accept. We went pretty late, so didn't get to try everything - we wanted to for sure. Ambience wise, it's pretty much a hole in the wall. The young lady is courteous and says thank you (but she is not overtly friendly).

Check out this place is egg tarts and barbecue pork buns and they give the other bakeries a run for their money!

They only take cash, but I got all this for $5.90! They're hefty pastries, too. From left to right: lotus paste mini moon cake, winter melon cake, ?? (some kind of sticky rice cake with red bean paste), and a taro paste bun. They were all delicious. The red bean sticky rice one was my favorite; the texture wasn't too sticky nor was it stale at all. The taro paste bun has a really nice texture, too, the kind that you only really find at Chinese bakeries (in my experience).

This has to be my favorite bakery shop in chinatown. The prices are amazing! I stop here every time I go to chinatown. My favorite is the winter melon bread. It has such a nice texture to it. There are many options from you to choose from.
