Was referred to this bar for Illini games from the board room podcast. Solid chill spot for games with a fun atmosphere and good food. Good location and not to overwhelming compared to some of the other Illini bars in town.

I've been going to Finleys for more than ten years at this point, so I guess I should finally get around to leaving a review.I feel like this is one of the only places in the neighborhood where you can go out and experience a fun atmosphere, solid food, reliable service... and not spend a small fortune.Things I really like about Finley Dunnes Tavern:1. 2.50 PBR drafts2. The Ryan Burger, Guinness Brat, Wings, seasoned fries, and to a slightly lesser extent the tavern style pizzas, the Chicago Dog, and the BLT3. They play the sound for whatever the primary sporting event is that night4. Golden tee and darts5. Great folks behind the bar serving up food and drinks who take care of you even when the place is packed6. Oh Yeah Bombs7. The combination of St Patty's Day, March Madness, and their seasonal corned beef sandwichesI'm sure I'm forgetting some things, but TLDR: this is my favorite spot to hang out with friends and/or watch sports in the city of Chicago.Parking: Lots of free street parking in the surrounding neighborhood

My favorite bar in the city of Chicago. Big fan of the Ryan Burger, Guinness Brat and the Wings. Fun but laid back atmosphere with great service. They usually play the sound for whatever the main sporting event is that night. Golden Tee and Darts available if that's your thing. And when you get the bill at the end of the night, it's usually significantly less than any other place I've tried in the surrounding area.

I was sitting at the bar for 15 minutes and the bartenders didn't even ask for my order but kept helping other white men. I guess bring an Asian woman minority, I don't deserve to get service.

Went for the TNF Bears game recently. Sadly they were very understaffed for the night. No one's fault at all, but the service was quite slow, but good enough keeping the small staff. Ordered the garlic parmesan mixed with medium wings. They were quite good, but wish there was a bit more sauce overall, wings were cooked well but needed more sauce. Overall enjoyed the game and food!

Very fun atmosphere. However, they don't clean their tap lines properly and the tap beer is gross. Order bottles only here.

First the staff are very sweet! The food is excellent, the fries have some yummy seasoning going on. Sizable chicken strips, the chipotle ranch is absolutely scrumptious! Chen is a bit dry, closely resemble a chicken cutlet. FOOD IS STILL BOMB THO!

Sometimes not the fastest service at thr bar but a. give the old guy a break and b. any place that hosts improv gets a 7 star bonus
