Seeing all the glowing reviews and passing the restaurant most every day, I wanted to take a chance on what could be a hidden gem on the NW side. I have tempered my expectations of sushi fusion restaurants to be realistic and not expectant of sushi bar quality, but this was rough.Food was prepped incredibly fast, which is great, right on the minute of the expected time. Staff was friendly when I arrived to pick up my order. So zero issues with the staff here ??The sushi however, was difficult to eat. I had ordered a sushi combo, and a few rolls. What I found with the nigiri was that the rice was still too hot for putting the sashimi over it, by the time I got the order home the fish was room temp-to-warm, which only highlighted every other flaw of the fish. Pieces of hamachi and salmon had chewy and gummy textures, the tuna was ok, but the escolar made me 'hurk'.The rolls were fine, the spicy salmon definitely seems a bit 'off'. I understand that spicy salmon making is a roll to use scraps but maybe it was pushing the limit of when the scraps came from? The one positive note about the food was that they are generous with using real crab, and the miso soup was very good. With many options in the area, I can't say I'll take the chance to visit again

Just ordered Calamari and it was very mediocre I'm sure the sushi and other items are good haven't tried but paying with credit card here for 2 smoothies that were watered down couldn't taste the fruit much and it had huge chunks of ice and a calamari that had a brown peice of lettuce with it and only 5-6 peices of ehh calamari that were just barley warm and tough for 28 dollars is totally not worth it. Stick to spending money on something else here.

The Waitstaff were professional and friendly. I felt welcomed. We ordered quickly and got our food in excellent time. The place was cozy, but not feeling like we were packed on top of other patrons. The food, however, left something to be desired. My spicy miso soup was excellent. Recommend that. Shuman was yummy. Recommend that. My Godzilla roll sauce was different than what I'm used to, but did not make it phenomenal or an improvement. The Teriyaki beef is what tanked the rating. The beef was very chewy, almost inedible. The sides of rice was good, broccoli felt a little undercooked, and green beans were okay. I've eaten a few Sushi places and while this isn't dead last, they are not Top 5. I would love for the servers to work at my favorite place! Loved them.

The absolute best sushi I've had anywhere. Not only is the sushi fresh, hence the name, but the chef is a true master of his craft. The owner and staff couldn't be more genuine as they provide the most welcoming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try, especially if you are unsure about sushi. This place will have you hooked within the first bite.

HOLY COW what a hidden gem. Run don’t walk here. All of the fish is perfect and fresh daily and all the sauces are house made. Service is so friendly. This is now one of our new favorite spots. And it’s BYOB!

The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, and the ambiance is just perfect for a relaxed meal. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable. The best sushi I’ve ever had. Flavors are AMAZING! The smoked salmon to die for… and I’m not a fish person. I can not eat fish if it isn’t fresh. I’m telling you this place is so so
