Gather is simply my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Every dish is incredible: the ricotta-honey spread and buttery toast, citrus cured salmon with fried egg, carmelized brussels sprouts with aioli...and that's before you even get to the entrees. Truth be told, I've never actually made it to dessert here because I'm already so stuffed from everything else.The decor is classy but comfortable; you'll dine by candlelight with a list of appealing cocktails ready to hand. If you're lucky, you can sit with a direct view of the kitchen where you can watch the magic happen.Incredible spot--if this place ever closes, you can rest assured that I will weep bitter tears for it. Please go eat here so that doesn't happen.
Great for brunch too. Burgers are off the menu. Everything ok there Restaurant Week offering was awesome. You can ask for a kids

This place is amazing!!!! I rarely leave reviews for restaurants but this one deserves 10 stars. I don’t know what is better, the atmosphere, food or service. Its definitely in my top 3 in Chicago.

So good. Have never had a bad experience here. The food is always delicious and it’s got a great atmosphere. My only complaint is that I wish it was easier to get a reservation! A good problem for them to have.
Warm, candlelit, and cozy - perfect for a winter night out. And the family style dinner is great!

I've been to many Michelin star restaurants, several in Chicago and I wouldn't be surprised if one day they will get one. The menu is focused on a few items and they are perfectly executed. Absolutely a great food experience.

Came to Gather for my Birthday with a small group of friends.The busser was absolutely amazing. All star ? The GM on the other hand was obviously irritated and on edge. Our server Demetrius did great. The food was good. Not blown away but good. I was slightly embarrassed to have invited a group of friends here considering how we were being rushed to order then our entrees took quit a long time to come to the table. Nonetheless- I won't be back with a group per say but I will give it another try with my husband and see if things have changed.
