Gene and Georgetti's is a great place for a date night, birthday or really any celebration! The food is fantastic and the service is too. The pastas were all made in house and you can tell. The steaks are great, they have a nice crust and cooked to perfection. I also love the cocktails, the drinks I had were well made and very good. The atmosphere is also very cool and classic chicago. Overall we enjoyed every moment!

This place is like a Time Machine in all of the best ways. Generous portions, incredible service, and white tablecloth class. I highly recommend exploring their wine list as well.

My girlfriend and I have dined here several times. We have never needed a reservation but it does get busy downstairs for larger parties. Service, food, atmosphere have been consistently excellent!! Highly recommended if you want to treat yourself to a nice meal.

Loved this place. Old school clubby ambiance with excellent service and delicious food. It's like walking back in time - in a good way. Hope it's there for another 80 years!

Great experience overall for a client dinner!Grateful the restaurant staff was willing to be flexible with our arrival time since my client was running late due to traffic. Service was great. NY strips were cooked perfectly, unfortunately the skirt steak was overcooked, but still tasty!

The dinner was outstanding! From the maître d' to the waiter and the rest of the staff, including the valet, our experience was wonderful. We had the filet. My wife had an 8oz. with Béarnaise sauce. I had the 12oz. Oscar style. The sides potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The entire meal was cooked to perfection and so very delicious. The drinks were fantastic as well. We highly recommend going here on a date night or if you simply want an amazing dining experience. Thank you kindly.

Can't really go wrong with Chicago's oldest steakhouse. Established in 1941, this place has hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra and other celebrities. The grilled calamari appetizer was spectacular. We got the aged t-bone for 2 and at 48 oz, it is a lot of food. This is best eaten with the creamy horseradish and a side of vesuvio potatoes. The steak was great but just a notch below the Chicago Chophouse or Peter Lugers in NY.
