Got a coffee here recently, it was not great and also a bit cold. The cashier was very rude to me and was also very smug. Unfortunately the place is very nice, but the service completely failed the setting. Overall if you’re looking to just grab a coffee this would not be the place.

We love coming here to pick up breakfast (quiche and baked goods) to go or sitting on the patio when weather permits. The service is always friendly and the baked goods and quiche are always fresh! Coffee is great too! Really appreciate this neighborhood staple. Highly recommend the blueberry and raspberry almond scones, blueberry muffins and pumpkin or gingerbread muffins.

Everything is 5 stars except -- once in a while I'll get a cookie with my coffee -- not very often at all -- but once in a while . . . and when I do, more often than not, the cookie is underdone. Happened the other day. A big googe of uncooked batter in the middle of my cookie. Undercooking this kind of baked good can actually be dangerous, fyi. Please, bake your cookie's 'til they're done! Underbaking doesn't ensure moisture or tenderness.
Geraldine’s is incredibly cute. The food is delicious and the drinks are well-made. The staff, however, is unprofessional, likely though no fault of their own as I suspect they are underpaid college students. Come here with the expectation that your food will be excellent, if served by an aloof hipster with a selective hearing problem.

I've searched and searched for a good bakery in the Lincoln Square area. I'm not interested in the supermarket bakeries. I want an authentic bakery. Geraldine's is that authentic bakery. Scones to die for. Large, freshly baked selection. Great counter service. I will search no more.
