They add sushi on the side edge of roll to make it look like there's a lot in pictures !!!! but the actual maki inside has only tiny pieces :/ lame

Ate here since CP&OG was slammed. We stumbled upon it and were SO happy that we could get in. The food was incredible - by far the best miso soup I've ever had (and I'm usually not a fan of it)! Had the chicken katsu & gyoza and they were both really good. Very decently priced for Chicago.

This is such a cozy little place. We went there for lunch today. My husband had ramen and I had sushi- both were really good. The girl at the desk who waited on us was very attentive and sweet.Parking: It’s a busy area but you can usually find meter parking.
This place was great! Me and some friends stopped here on a whim before a concert and it was so good. The place is small but it felt cozy and the food gave you a cozy feeling as well. 10/10 I would totally come back!

Stopped in for lunch with a few friends. This place is such a gem. The food was amazing and the service was great. It was so cozy. I got the Chirashi and the Jackie Roll, and both were so tasty. Highly recommend this place.

We have eaten at Green Tea Japanese restaurant twice now and will make it a regular choice from now on. We are also going to try their newly opened sister restaurant Tuk Tuk Thai Street on Clark St.
I have been ordering from Green Tea for a couple of years and never had any issues, however, my order quality this time was nothing like the past orders. The tuna was almost grey and was lacking any of the spicy mayo mixture. The order was inedible and has turned me away from sushi for a while.
This type of the restaurant where the cook staff and front desk person works in the opened area. The front desk lady was mad, and really unhappy ( Maybe because we stopped in the morning). I understand when the cook stuff work hard and have no time to speak, but unhealthy tension was presented obviously. Water for tea was not boiled enough and raw. Everybody was NOT friendly and especially front desk female, who is the waitress on the same time. When I come afterword to ask her name, her replay was: “I have no name.” That’s it. Her shift was by the way on December 9, 2023 and time was around 10AM, It’s for the owner who have to have operational system and educate his stuff before they ruin the business.
